[No Replies Outside Work Hours: Good, then]
Xianyu sent another cat meme to end the conversation, timed his early departure just right, and headed home to pick up the white, blue-eyed longhaired cat.
He had carefully picked this cat out of all the photos Hua had sent him.
The reason was simple: it looked quiet, unlike the sort of cat that would jump onto its owner's chest and throw a dance party in the middle of the night.
But the moment he got the cat, it showed its true colors. At their first meeting, it wasn't shy at all, licking Xianyu's face all over and meowing in a sweet, cutesy voice.
Once they got home, the cat held its head high and strutted around like a monarch surveying its domain.
Xianyu had originally planned to keep his pet in the courtyard, with its bed and litter box both outside.
What he hadn't expected was that this cat would scratch at the door! And in the middle of the night, it would start howling like mad in a harsh, throaty voice.
The howling woke Xianyu right up. Still half asleep, he was stunned by the noise and thought some ferocious beast had broken into his courtyard.
Worried about the cat he had just brought home, he momentarily forgot about the people who diligently kept the peace on the Luofu.
Xianyu quickly got up and cautiously opened the door as the howling continued, only to find the cat crouching low, preparing to push its limits and reach the door handle.
At the sight of its owner, the cat immediately changed its tune, letting out another sweet, affected meow before rolling over to expose its fluffy belly.
