Dan Heng picked up a pen and paper, spread his test papers and workbook across the table, and continued explaining his mistakes to Xianyu.
This was one of the assignments from the Academy.
The teachers believed that learning something and then explaining it to someone else left a deeper impression than rote memorization or endless practice questions.
This time, the subject was history.
Looking at Xianyu's seemingly attentive eyes, which were actually growing increasingly vacant, Dan Heng couldn't help sighing inwardly.
Five adults, and not one of them was reliable.
But... that wasn't their fault.
Once Dan Heng graduated from the Academy, he wouldn't be leafing through textbooks and poring over practice questions either.
Dan Heng soon finished his assignment of explaining his mistakes, then turned to pack his things.
Xianyu looked puzzled.
"Huh? Don't you have any other homework?"
Mindful of the adult's pride, Dan Heng put away his unfinished history homework without batting an eye and shook his head at Xianyu.
Xianyu stood up, took out a large bag of snacks he had prepared earlier, and placed it in front of Dan Heng.
"Wait a little longer. Once Yingxing finishes work, he'll come pick you up."
Dan Heng held out no hope of that.
Forget expecting Yingxing to pick him up...

By the time Dan Heng had eaten three little bread rolls and the server had arranged the flowers Xianyu ordered, Jingliu returned home from the distant Cloud Knights Camp.
