Above his head, the Sentinel's winding body coiled through the air, radiating overwhelming pressure.
As civilization's guide and guardian, the Sentinel possessed unquestionable strength, even while wounded.
The Sentinel spoke in confusion, a voice mingled with the murmurs of countless living beings echoing through Sleeping Dragon Court.
This was a scene that had never appeared in the Sentinel's prophecy.
Utterly unafraid, Ling An raised his head and met the Sentinel's gaze.
"I'm just a Crownless passing through," Ling An said.
Countless living beings harmonized within his voice as well.
"Wrong!" the Sentinel rejected his answer. "You are far too strange."
The presence before the Sentinel clearly bore the aura and fluctuations of a Threnodian.
Yet this Tacet Discord gave the Sentinel an unexpectedly peculiar feeling.
Incomplete and incongruous.
As though his power had not come naturally to him.
It seemed more like... something he had stolen.
The Sentinel spoke warily. "You should not be here."
"Then where should I be?" Ling An was taken aback.
He really had not lied. Sleeping Dragon Court had opened, and he had simply stopped by for a look while passing through.
Instead, the Sentinel had launched into a conversation full of cryptic riddles.
"I cannot see through your existence, nor can I discern whether you are friend or foe," the Sentinel said.
Ling An pondered the meaning of those words.
According to the information he had gathered, the Sentinel had foretold an inevitable battle with Jinhsi.

"Do you have a way to restore the Time Stream on Mt. Firmament?" Ling An asked the question that he, Tide Sis, and Changli most wanted answered.
At this, the Sentinel's winding body circled once, appraising Ling An anew.
"Hmph.
