"Huff... huff..."
Killer dragged Murder along, sprinting through Snowdin and dodging monsters that lunged at them along the way.
They rounded a corner, and Killer pulled Murder into hiding.
"Hey... Killer... you... you could've taken a shortcut, couldn't you...?"
All that running had left Murder gasping for breath.
"I forgot I could take a shortcut too."
Killer slapped her forehead. Clearly, that option hadn't occurred to her.
Insanity appeared beside them, looking just as badly shaken.
"How did it go?"
"...I don't know. The monsters here... are weird."
Apparently, Insanity had gone to explore the other areas.
The results had been far from promising.
"Damn it... the monsters here... are they really that kinky?"
The thought sent a chill through all of them.
They had just traveled to this new world. Insanity had volunteered to scout the other areas, while Murder and Killer had explored around Snowdin.
The locals had promptly given them a fright.
Well, it wasn't entirely the locals' fault.
As soon as they arrived, Murder and the others had noticed the way those people looked at them.
It felt like they had been targeted.
Murder felt it most keenly. His ability to simulate and resonate with all kinds of energy let him clearly sense it-
The lust inside those monsters had engulfed their entire souls.
Most of the monsters still behaved themselves and knew how to rein in their desires.
Some monsters, however, were different.
They approached Killer with a few green bills in their hands.
They seemed to be hinting that Killer should take them.
Murder gritted his teeth at the memory.
That idiot Killer had actually thought it was because she was just that charming, and accepted their money without hesitation.
Then... they had been chased.
Some of the more extreme monsters had even run straight at Killer naked.
Once Killer caught on and realized what had happened, she threw the bills back at them.
But after taking the money back, they didn't slow down at all. They looked determined to, uh, you know.
Somehow, Murder had ended up running along with Killer.
"I gave it all back. Why are they still treating me like I work at one of those places?"
"...Huff... you've got some nerve saying that..."
Beside them, Insanity stacked nearby cardboard boxes into a barrier. At least those monsters wouldn't spot them so easily if they came back.
"So... what do we do now? I didn't expect things to get so... exciting... right off the bat."
Insanity was speechless too. How could they throw a Multiverse newbie like her straight into something this intense?
"Right now, we..."
This was a first for Killer and Murder too, and both started thinking of a way out.
"...Might need a guide?"
A fourth voice came from the dark alley.
"Uh, pals? Do you know... how to greet a new friend...?"
Before Lust could finish, all three grabbed his outstretched arm.
"...Uh?"
After a round of shaking, Murder spoke first.
"You're Sans? What a coincidence. We're Sans too. I'm Murder, this slightly shorter girl is Killer, and this even shorter girl is Insanity."
Insanity and Killer showed no reaction to Murder's assessment of their heights. Neither cared about that sort of thing.
"Uh... I get it? So you're... versions of me from the Multiverse?"
Lust had been researching timelines for a long time. Now that he had confirmed his counterparts existed elsewhere in the Multiverse, it all felt deeply mysterious.
"So the Sanses of the Multiverse all have their own names... in that case, call me Lust."
Lust sounded almost self-mocking. He wasn't particularly fond of his own timeline.
