"Hmm..."
Lust narrowed his eyes, carefully studying the picture in Murder's hand.
After a long moment, he gave a firm answer.
"Of course-I've never seen it."
"That makes things simple... what?"
Murder found that hard to believe. He had thought all the Sanses had taken part in that experiment.
Or at least knew the True Lab existed.
It wasn't just Murder. Killer and Insanity were staring at Lust in considerable surprise, too.
"They... didn't tell you anything about it? That's impossible... every world should have a True Lab, right?"
Killer was just as baffled. So far, she had never found a world without a True Lab.
"Uh... Lust? How about taking us to Alphys's lab for a look?"
"The lab? Uh, sure? I've got some free time right now anyway."
Lust motioned for the others to hold on to him, then took a shortcut.
They appeared in the lab.
The lab's overall style gave them quite a shock.
The entire lab was painted pink, with plenty of sexually suggestive slogans.
The tables were covered with NSFW (not safe for work) items, with strange wet stains on them that made everyone feel a little sick.
Wasn't Alphys pretty shy? How had she become so, uh, aggressive here? Murder thought, not without malice.
"This is Alphys's lab, guys. Honestly, this place normally has surveillance cameras. Alphys used to work in one of the rooms, so she'd know right away if an outsider showed up in the lab."
Lust shrugged.
"You saw that not-so-clean stuff on the tables, too? Everyone here has those things. They have to release their pent-up desires, or holding them in will make them sick-that's what they told me."
Murder and the others paid little attention to those things. They stood where the entrance to the True Lab would normally be. That spot was covered in pink, too, so an ordinary person really wouldn't have noticed it.
Murder reached out and gently pressed a certain spot.
Beep.
With a loud noise, the stretch of pink split apart, revealing a dilapidated elevator.
"An elevator? I've never heard... there's an elevator here?"
Lust was visibly surprised.
"They hid this place from me...?"
"Come on, Lust. Our main reason for coming here was to confirm that this world has a True Lab."
Murder took hold of Lust and nodded to Killer and Insanity.
The four vanished from the lab.
"..."
MTT watched the surveillance feed.
He often helped Alphys keep an eye on the cameras these days, since she didn't have time to watch them herself.
When he saw four Sanses, each with a different appearance, MTT froze.
"Beep."
The elevator's beep from the screen snapped MTT out of his thoughts.
Setting aside why four Sanses had appeared at once-though that was certainly astonishing, and utterly baffling.
He had clearly seen that, apart from their own Sans, the other three Sanses all seemed to know there was a hidden door here.
Before the monsters were injected with that trait, Alphys had said no one was allowed through that door.
Later, everyone had gone mad, and no one had gone through that door again.
MTT had helped Alphys hide the door while he was at it.
But... those three who looked like Sans-or rather, who were Sans-seemed to have known about the hidden door all along.
The hidden door that led straight to the elevator.
MTT switched off the surveillance feed and headed straight for the hidden door.
He needed to help Alphys hide that door again.
As for those extra Sanses... well, that wasn't his problem. He still had a show to do later.
