The enormous monster charged straight at the two of them, its mucus-covered tentacles promising them an unparalleled experience.
All right, they just dodged it normally.
Before dodging the attack, Lust had already sealed the soul container again, just to make sure the monster could not steal the human soul.
Strangely, when the monster reached the soul, it slammed on the brakes with its lower body instead of crashing into it.
"Eee❤ You adorable little soul❤❤ Are you all right? Uncle's here. I won't let anything hurt you❤❤"
In a sight that shattered all sense of decency, the monster actually spoke in a bizarre, sleazy voice, its tentacles seemingly stroking the soul container on purpose, over and over.
"Aaah, what... is this?"
Murder could hardly believe it. Beside him, Lust also wanted to wash his eyes out after witnessing that scene.
"S-so you're the two little things trying to ruin our relationship?! ...Eee...! So cute, so adorable! Both of you❤❤❤"
A lecherous grin spread across that twisted, hideous face.
"Buddy, making yourself that disgusting takes talent."
Murder spread his hands, somewhat speechless, then summoned countless bones into the air with a flick of his hand.
"Please let me send you to burn in hell, you freak."
Thud, thud, thud, thud, thud!!!
The sounds of bloody impacts kept coming from the monster's body, without stopping.
A huge cloud of smoke rose with Murder's attacks, immediately obscuring both their vision.
"Damn it... I can't see anything..."
Murder kept carefully watching the flow of magic within it, and sure enough, that method worked.
Now, Murder could make out an enormous fluctuation of pink energy within the huge smoke cloud, just like what he had observed in the monsters back in Snowdin.
Suddenly, that pink energy rushed toward Lust at high speed.
Lust still had no idea how serious the situation was and continued staring intently at the smoke.
If that thing caught Lust, something would happen that would be enough to make Murder do a thousand backflips.
"I won't let you."
The greater the mass of the object Murder controlled with Gravity Manipulation, the more stamina it consumed.
So, at a critical moment like this, a stupid Sans might try to control that gigantic, disgusting thing, but a smart Sans would control Lust instead.
"Get over here, Lust."
A burst of Gravity Manipulation pulled Lust toward him. After successfully catching Lust, Murder summoned an enormous Shock Waves cannon with a flick of his other hand.
"Lust, watch carefully and learn. When we face an immortal monster on the level of an Amalgamate, we often need to use methods that break the rules."
Murder held both hands above the Shock Waves cannon. Instantly, an enormous red glow radiated from his massive cannon. It was unmistakably the color of determination.
That was right.
This was determination.
Okay, I was just messing with you. How could Murder use determination? He would have melted ages ago if he did.
This was the anti-determination Murder had simulated.
Remember how Murder previously planned to "first create an anti-reset field, then repair the time machine, and finally research his own determination"?
Exactly. Using the tiny, controllable amount of determination within him, Murder had successfully developed anti-determination (Anti-Determination), which had properties opposite to it.
Anti-determination sounded incredibly badass, but it was not just its name that sounded badass.
It really was badass.
Its function was to sever all connections between determination, separating the determination whose power was great enough to rewrite the world and alter time.
Think about it. Humans could reset and load saves only because they relied on their vast reserves of powerful determination, right?
But if that determination were separated, only a tiny amount would remain available for them to use.
Wouldn't that serve to defeat determination?
All right, this was only a theory Murder had devised based on determination.
Murder had used this principle against the Amalgamate in the first chapter, simulating the energy of anti-determination (Anti-Determination), concentrating it on the surface of his fist, and using it to shatter the connections within the Amalgamate's determination.
In that instant, the determination the Amalgamate possessed would no longer be able to sustain its existence, and it would consequently be deemed dead.
That way, Murder could gain the Amalgamate's EXP and raise his LV.
However, Murder's original goal had not been to destroy Amalgamates. He had researched determination to find a more effective way to deal with humans.
Murder had never actually used this anti-determination move on a human.
A human's determination would gather together again an instant after being separated. Their will to avoid death was simply too firm, rendering anti-determination completely useless.
At most, it would consume a huge amount of Murder's stamina and magic, leaving him unable to launch bone attacks.
