BOOOOM-!!!!!
A tremendous cannon blast rang out. To Lust's astonishment, the beam it fired was blood-red!!
Murder resonated with the energy in the air once more. This time, he could clearly see that there was much less pink energy in the smoke.
It really worked!
At least ten thousand times better than bones and Shock Waves.
When the smoke cleared, the abomination's ravaged body appeared before them.
Murder had blasted away half the body of that supposedly undying monster!
The vile monster's wicked grin froze on his face. He looked down in disbelief, only to see a massive wound that refused to heal.
"Whoa... dude, how did you do that? How did you turn this... creature with such incredible regenerative powers... into that with just one hit?"
When Lust first saw these newly resurrected super, super, super-perverted monsters, he had indeed been ten parts terrified-or even nine.
They looked sleazy and frightening, and it was obvious that they were highly aggressive toward other creatures.
And by aggressive, he meant in that particular sense.
But after discovering that the monsters would not attack him, he began to calm down.
Lust guessed that these monsters had been reborn through the lust within them, falling completely into darkness.
He tried throwing a bone and found that the monsters did not react.
So he began to wonder whether lust was what triggered their senses.
Even a tiny cockroach had an appetite. If these creatures detected someone's own lust,
would they use that person as a tool to indulge themselves?
After that, he began testing his attacks.
As he had expected, his attacks could not inflict any meaningful damage.
The monsters would look thoroughly dead, reduced to ash.
Then they would slowly be reborn, finally becoming even more perverted and disgusting than before.
But...
The red Shock Waves casually fired by this male version of himself before him
actually worked on these undying, perverted things?!
"How... exactly did you do that?"
"It's simple. I used a certain power."
Murder said it as though it were something utterly trivial.
"It can dissociate an opponent's determination. Still... that was a test just now, too. It can also dissociate a trait like lust."
"Dissociate...?!"
Lust's mouth fell slightly open. He was clearly shocked.
Having also worked for the Royal Academy of Sciences, Lust knew very well how difficult it was to separate out soul traits.
Though that was partly because Gaster and the others had not let Lust participate in the experiments involving the Determination Extractor.
"That's right."
Murder turned his gaze back toward the monster, which was glaring at him with an utterly terrifying expression.
"But... I think using this energy takes quite a lot out of me, let alone firing it as Shock Waves."
As he spoke, Murder summoned another large barrage of bones, all aimed at the monster.
But... this time, Murder snapped his fingers before firing.
In an instant, every bone turned bright red.
"Eek...! Don't kill me!! Don't kill meeee!!! Keep me alive, and I can bring you endless pleasure!!!"
The monster actually spoke human words again. Just how far had it evolved?
Leaving this thing alive would pose an enormous threat to the entire timeline.
If you're going to help someone, see it through.
Thud thud thud thud thud, bang bang.
In the end, the monster could not withstand the overwhelming power of anti-determination-or, here, perhaps it could be called anti-lust-and was blasted straight into ash.
Murder dusted off his hands, took the little device from Lust, and switched it back on at 200% power.
Fortunately, the monsters had spent ages navigating the maze. Even after the battle was over, they were still wandering through it.
Now, with the two of them no longer detectable, the monsters could only rage helplessly.
"Wait... Lust."
Watching Lust pull him along, Murder suddenly had an idea.
"We came to save your world... leaving just like this would be a little too hasty."
