The three of them climbed the stairs and turned into another corridor.
The light here was very dim. The howling wind had loosened a windowpane, making it rattle unpleasantly.
The torches here seemed to have been blown out by the wind.
"Look, who's that?" Morn suddenly stopped, grabbed the other two, and ducked back behind the corner.
"It's Potter," Ernie whispered. "What's he doing?"
With so little light, the two of them could only see a dark figure standing there blankly. They could recognize Potter only because the light of a distant torch illuminated a little of his face.

Clatter-clatter-the doors along the corridor opened one after another, and people poured out.
"Let's go out too and see what's going on," Morn whispered.
The corridor was packed with people, all older students. They seemed to have all been having lessons here tonight.
Using his height and size to his advantage, Ernie squeezed through first. Then his shout came from inside the crowd.
"Caught red-handed!!!"
Professor McGonagall's voice rang out as well, ordering Ernie to stop.
Justin hopped up and down anxiously, trying to see what had happened inside. His face was deathly pale. "Don't tell me something's happened to Justin."
Just then, Peeves, floating in midair, suddenly began to sing-
"Oh... Potter, you nasty pest, look at what you've done~~"
"You've killed a student dead~~ and think it's jolly fun~~ jolly~ good~ fun~~~"
"Stop it! Peeves!!" Professor McGonagall roared. Su Er's face twitched oddly. *Why does
