"Around that time, I also acquired an alchemical product." Su Er took a roll of parchment from inside his robes.
"It's called the Marauder's Map."
"What is that?" Fudge was clearly interested and reached out to take a look, but Su Er drew his hand back and tucked the parchment into his robes again, making his position clear.
"Heh." Fudge gave a few dry chuckles and did not insist. "All right, Mr. Bones, what does it do?"
"It displays the names of wizards who enter the Castle on the map. It was on this map that I saw a name-Peter Pettigrew."
"Although I'm a Hufflepuff, thanks to a good friend of mine, I'm quite familiar with the Gryffindor students. I wouldn't say I know every one of them, but I'm at least familiar with nearly all their names. The name Pettigrew was unfamiliar to me."
"So I went to Mr. Percy Weasley, who was Head Boy at the time. He told me unequivocally that none of the young wizards currently in the Castle had the surname Pettigrew."
"That made me curious. Who was this Peter Pettigrew?"

"Yes." Su Er nodded. "As it happened, the Daily Prophet recently mentioned an incident from twelve years ago-the circumstances surrounding Mr. Black's arrest."
"That was also where I saw Peter Pettigrew mentioned. What's more, I discovered that Peter Pettigrew was always with my friend, Ron Weasley. This was strange. There was never a wizard by Ron's side, only a rat that was always with him-Scabbers."
