Vault Four?
Bogrod suddenly hesitated again. Mrs. Lestrange was not someone to trifle with.
Especially now that she had escaped Azkaban and the Dark Lord had returned.
Besides, Bogrod clearly remembered Mrs. Lestrange's demands: the vault had to be absolutely secure, with every possible protective measure in place.
"What's wrong? Is it that difficult? Do you think I'll be jealous if I see her vault?"
"No, no, of course not." Bogrod shook his head, gritted his teeth, and stamped his foot.
The goblins had a saying: wealth remained where it was; merely admiring it did nothing to diminish its value.
What was wrong with looking? It wouldn't cost her a single Galleon. If she didn't want anyone looking, she shouldn't have deposited it at Gringotts!
Bogrod swung his short legs forward, walked up to the Lestrange family's Vault Four, and pressed his hand against it.
If opening a door looked like erasing it with a rubber, what happened now was more like fading it out.
The heavy metallic door gradually lost its color, growing fainter and fainter until it resembled glass, its outline barely visible in the air.
But everything inside the vault was laid bare.
Torches lit up one after another inside the pitch-black vault. Standing outside the door, Zhang Xiao narrowed his eyes and looked in.
Mountains of gold and silver filled the interior, along with exquisite goblets, silver armor, bizarre animal pelts-some with long spines, others with drooping wings attached-a heap of jewel-encrusted bottles, and even a skeleton still wearing a crown.
Well, overall, it was a traditional treasure vault, the sort of hoard found in Western stories after the villain was defeated. Mountains of gold coins, more or less.
"No matter how many times I see it, the view inside a vault is always a delight..."
