Tony wasn't the only one who was confused. Scott was just as bewildered.
"He's a member of the Avengers?" Scott asked, pointing at John. "How come I've never seen him?"
Tony didn't know what to say either. Never mind Scott-he had never seen him before himself.
John looked into Tony's eyes and noticed something was wrong.
"You... don't know me?" John stared at Tony. "Looks like we're not from the same timeline."
What John was actually more curious about was why a future Tony had appeared here.
Time travel?
There was a reason John hadn't been surprised when he first saw Tony.
In the world of magic, there was a way to return to the past.
The Time-Turner.
You could get the chance to obtain one as early as your third year at Hogwarts.
So seeing Tony hadn't surprised John, because he had seen other people at Hogwarts who had returned using a Time-Turner.
Judging from Tony's reaction, though, he really had traveled through time.
The difference was that his timeline seemingly had no overlap with John's.
That immediately made John think of something else.
The Multiverse.
In other words, he and the Tony in front of him weren't from the same timeline.
This wasn't this universe's future Tony, but a Tony who had come from another universe.
Wizards were far ahead of ordinary people when it came to time, so once John understood where Tony had come from, he remarked, "Looks like something went wrong with where we were supposed to meet."
John glanced over Tony. "What are you doing here, Time Traveler?"
Tony caught on as well. Something had probably gone wrong with his Time Device.
He looked at John with a grave expression and explained, "I don't know who you are, but judging by your reaction, we
