When Peter reached the Staten Island ferry, he saw the white owl sweep across the sky.

Seeing that the ferry had already set off, Peter immediately chased after it.

He leaped, only to find himself a little short.

Just as he was about to fall into the water, he spotted Basil. He shot a strand of web around Basil's talon and used the momentum to swing over and cling to the ferry.

Peter had barely breathed a sigh of relief before Basil swooped down and battered him about the head.

"Sorry, sorry!" Peter scurried away with his arms over his head, apologizing over and over.

Basil flew up in a huff, and Peter tried to help remove the web.

But Basil sliced straight through it with a talon.

His talons also left three frightening gouges in the ferry.

Peter swallowed nervously. If those had landed on him, he would have been covered in bruises.

Climbing down the side of the ferry, he activated reconnaissance mode to search for Lies.

"That's Lies?"

Peter stared at the man dressed like a priest and muttered, "He looks harmless. What a sly guy."

Then he locked onto another suspicious person. "Or is it that honest-looking man?"

Peter had no idea what Lies looked like, so he could only eliminate the possibilities one by one.

Fortunately, anyone here to make a deal would have to make a move.

Peter watched their every movement.

The priest stood up, said something to someone, then headed outside.

The newcomer looked very nervous.

Peter followed them.

The two went down to the ferry's lower deck.

"Where's the merchandise?" The priest still held a Bible. Anyone who didn't know better might have thought he was preaching.

The man across from him took out the payment and opened it for inspection.
