It had to be said that, despite his rugged appearance, Thor actually had good manners.

Though Asgard's innate love of battle made him seem like a brute, he was actually quite a gentleman.

Well, throwing drinking cups was a family tradition.

Now, though, John was looking around Thor's room.

As a brave Asgardian warrior, Thor had earned the Grandmaster's favor with his formidable strength.

The Grandmaster loved watching contests, and he treated his good fighters well.

The room offered no freedom, but it had everything else Thor needed.

The Grandmaster had promised Thor that, as long as he completed a hundred rounds of the Contest of Champions, he would get a chance to leave.

By then, however, Asgard would clearly belong entirely to Hela.

"All right, just give him another couple of punches."

John said this, and Loki forced an ugly smile. How very kind of you.

Thor punched the stomach of the little brother who had gotten their father killed, and Loki collapsed, clutching his belly.

"John, how did you get here?" Thor let go of Loki and hurried over to John. "I need to go back, John. Asgard needs me."

"Needs you?" John rubbed his chin. "You think Hela will destroy Asgard?"

"You already know?" Thor froze, then quickly assumed Loki had told him. He said urgently, "Her ambition will plunge the Nine Realms back into war."

"Given Hela's personality, that's certainly possible." John thought it over and found the argument reasonable. "But what are you going to do?"

"Just go back and lead the people in an attack against Hela?"

At John's question, Thor ran the idea through his head.

"Heimdall will help me." Thor took a deep breath. "The people of Asgard will overthrow her brutal rule."

"That's a decent idea," John said, clapping his hands.
