"It's certainly not easy to get a meeting with you."
As Loki spoke, he moved to sit down in front of John.
John raised a hand, and when Loki came to his senses, he was already sitting in the chair.
Apparently, everyone who could use magic liked pulling that trick.
Loki said, "Thanos is coming."
John said, "You mean the guy who looks like a purple potato?"
That refreshingly unconventional description made Loki hesitate. "Is the Thanos you're talking about the same Thanos I know?"
Well, that wasn't the point.
Loki said gravely, "Thor has fallen."
Something happened to Thor?
John frowned. As he recalled, Purple Potato hadn't killed Thor.
Though his memories were a little hazy, Thor was a major player. He shouldn't have died so easily.
But Loki's somber expression didn't look fake.
Loki continued, "He just appeared out of nowhere and destroyed our ship with ease."

It did make sense, though. As a powerful realm second only to Asgard, Vanaheim wouldn't sit back and let Thanos run rampant through the Nine Realms.
Both sides had suffered losses.
Supergiant of the Black Order had died among Thanos' forces.
Vanaheim had paid an even greater price: the life of its God King, Freyr.
It had been a brutal battle.
It also gave John a concrete measure of Thanos' strength.
Although losing his hammer had weakened Thor a little, awakening his power as the God of Thunder had made up for it.
In other words, Thor was far from weak. He was powerful.
Yet Thor, along with fighters like Loki,
