Thanos had thought it was his mercy that made John fearless.

But as he watched John studying things aboard his ship, he suddenly realized that this man had never feared him at all.

"Aren't you afraid?" Thanos asked.

John, who was studying the technology inside Thanos's ship, glanced at him and said flatly, "We haven't reached Vormir yet, have we?"

"Or are you planning to kill me right now?"

"No, you never feared me from the start." Thanos rose and stepped down from his throne. "Ever since we met, even after seeing my power, you never have."

Was Thanos powerful?

With four Infinity Stones, Thanos was powerful enough to inspire despair.

Even if the Superheroes joined forces, they could not kill him within ten minutes.

One could say that John could only hold out against Thanos. Defeating him was out of the question.

Yet even after being taken hostage and brought into Thanos's territory, John remained utterly unruffled.

Thanos found that impossible to understand.

"What exactly are you after, Wizard King?"

Thanos walked over to John and watched him dismantling the casing around the ship's internal technology.

Faced with Thanos's intense curiosity, John could only say, "How much do you know about magic? And how much do you know about Wizards?"

Thanos considered the question, then said, "This isn't my first time dealing with Wizards."

"On my homeworld, magic and technology were equally powerful."

"The mages of Vanaheim devote themselves to studying powerful magic. The Wizards of Titan did the same. They pursued power, but in the end, they still couldn't save our homeworld."

Wizards were not unique to Earth. They were ancient and mysterious.

Titan had a subtle connection to the Eternals. They might have shared the same creator.

But unlike the Eternals, Titan had developed its own civilization.
