"So, you killed a Celestial, and then you became one?"
New Asgard.
Inside a tavern named Beyira, several of this world's most powerful superheroes were discussing what had happened.
The beautiful owner, Beyira, asked, "What can I get you?"
She winked at Thor, who smiled. "Beer for my friends, and a glass of Odin's Brew for me."
"Oh, right, he wants black tea." Thor pointed at John.
Tony protested, "Why do we have to drink beer?"
Thor said earnestly, "Stark, you may be a superhero, but you still have a mortal body."
His tone was like a father telling his son he was too young to drink.
"Strictly speaking, sorcerers have already transcended the bounds of humanity," Stephen said. "I'll have a glass of Odin's Brew."
Tony suddenly felt like he was the only mortal who couldn't hold his liquor.
Returning to the matter at hand, Thor sipped the liquor his dad had developed and asked, "Are you immortal now?"
"I'm not much different from you, Thor." John took a sip of black tea and said casually, "To be precise, I was immortal from the start."
Stephen folded his arms, his brow furrowed. "You used the Reversal Equation to kill Tiamut. What were the consequences?"
John shrugged. "I'll stand trial."
The mood grew heavy. Tony said, "You always manage to stir up something big that nobody sees coming."
"I'll observe a moment of silence for you," he said, raising his beer bottle. "I'll miss having a friend like you."
John promptly dampened his mood. "I'm not the only one on trial. If I'm guilty, then this world is a place that failed to birth a Celestial, and Arishem will destroy it."
Tony froze. "He gets to decide our fate just like that?" he asked incredulously.
"They're used to playing creator."
