In the Underground Base in Africa, a group of scientists stood before the circular wormhole Portal frame, repeatedly checking that the equipment was in working order.
"Boss, the Tesseract is fully charged. We can try opening a spatial wormhole whenever you're ready!"
Erik was at the control console nearby, studying the readings on its screen. After half a month of research, with help from Tony and the other scientists, they could finally try channeling the Tesseract's energy to open a wormhole Portal.
"Okay, get back, all of you!"
Yang Bo quickly called out to the scientists still checking the equipment, telling them to retreat to safety.
"Kaecilius, send them to the company in New York first."
Kaecilius nodded and opened a Portal, sending all the scientists through. Before long, the once-noisy Underground Space fell quiet, leaving only Dr. Erik, Tony, Ivan, Kaecilius, and Yang Bo.
Tony looked at the Tesseract mounted inside the device and said seriously, "This experiment could be dangerous. Everyone should be prepared."
"I think we'd better put on our Armor."
Yang Bo nodded, finding Tony's suggestion very sensible, and said, "For safety's sake, everyone put on your Armor."
"This is a wormhole. Who the hell knows what might come out of it? Remember, whatever shows up, attack immediately. If you can't beat it, run."
If Loki came walking out to deliver a gem, wouldn't that be wonderful? Odin and The Ancient One were both still alive, so Yang Bo didn't believe Thanos would come.
Everyone present put on their Armor, including Kaecilius. Tony had finished making his Armor over the past half month, too. As for why Tony had made it rather than Ivan, that was mainly because Kaecilius couldn't quite stomach Ivan's style...
