They entered the spaceship, followed a winding corridor, and spotted a platform a short distance ahead. At its center was a polygonal slot about the size of a finger.

To put it plainly, Clark's "necklace" was a high-tech USB drive. A program based primarily on his father's memories had been stored inside, much like Iron Man's AI, JARVIS.
Hearing that, Clark stopped hesitating and gently tugged the necklace off his neck.
He moved it toward the opening in the console. Before it even touched the slot, Clark felt a suction force coming from within.
He let go, and with a click, the key slid straight in.
Yang Bo drew his Nano Saber and watched their rear warily. If he remembered correctly, a sentry robot would come over after Clark inserted the key. Its attacks were extremely powerful. Although Superman had yet to mature, the fact that it could easily break through his defenses showed that its offensive power was not to be underestimated.
Just as he expected, after the key entered the console, a robot that looked very much like EVE from WALL-E floated swiftly toward them.
Before it could attack, Yang Bo charged straight at it. He swung his blade before it could react, easily cleaving it down the middle.
Sparks flew, and the robot fell to the floor, lifeless.
"The material this robot is made from has to be at least on par with vibranium."
