Within seconds, dozens of Parademons appeared around them, and their numbers kept growing.
Bruce was climbing out of the pool, debating whether to fight these monsters in his swimming trunks or run back into the base in full view of everyone to put on his Armor.
A voice rang out beside him. "Master Wayne, your Armor."
Somehow, Alfred, The Butler, had hauled out the Armor that should have been sitting inside the base.
Bruce practically saw wings sprouting from Alfred's back. At that moment, his butler was his angel.
Although Batman had yet to develop nanotechnology, he could still suit up quickly. He hurried into his Armor, grabbed an energy gun, and stood beside Cyborg.
"Alfred, hurry and find cover..."
Then he turned to look. Alfred, who had been helping him put on his Armor just a moment ago, was already nowhere to be seen.

Steppenwolf surveyed them all before finally settling his gaze on Diana. "You're different from your sisters. You're stronger."
Then his tone shifted. He extended a thick arm and pointed at Diana and the others.
"Kill them."
The Parademons hovering in the air let out strange cries, then swarmed toward them.
Bang! Diana blocked a Parademon's attack with her shield, twisted the sword in her hand, and immediately cut down the creature charging at her.
The melee began...
Bang, bang... Blue energy orbs shot from Cyborg's arm one after another, striking Parademons and sending them tumbling out of the sky.
Just then, a furious roar rang out. Steppenwolf lunged nimbly toward Diana, raising his sharp axe high, clearly intent on seeing what she looked like on the inside.
But Clark appeared in front of Diana faster than the naked eye could follow and stopped Steppenwolf's attack with one hand.
