"Why do we have to sneak in disguised?"
As they headed toward the hall where the gods gathered, Valkyrie came over carrying several white cloaks and said, "We need disguises."
Yang Bo asked in confusion, "Why do we need disguises? Aren't you all gods?"
Before Valkyrie could explain, Thor spoke up. "Zeus and my father Odin didn't get along very well."
Hela snorted. "Didn't get along very well? Given the chance, those two would have cut each other's heads off and kept them in their rooms as collectibles."
"Seeing it first thing every morning might even have given that old bastard Odin a few extra decades to live."
Yang Bo: "..."
How deep did that grudge run? Even with how much he hated vampires, he had never thought about cutting off their heads and displaying them in his bedroom.
But looking at the white cloak Valkyrie offered him, Yang Bo shook his head gently. "No need. We'd have to take them off in a moment anyway."
He was a god himself. Why hide his identity?
Even buns had a god. Why should he, the mighty god of "borrowing," have to skulk around? He had already thought up his slogan.
I borrowed it fair and square. Why should I give it back??
Hearing Yang Bo's words, Valkyrie was about to throw away the special emotional cloaks she had borrowed from the God of Emotions. Yang Bo quickly stopped her and took the cloaks from her hands. "Don't throw them away! They can block divine power detection, at least. That makes them pretty useful."
Taking the cloaks, he tossed them into his inventory. Yang Bo had not grown up poor, exactly, but his family had been nowhere near wealthy.
The group entered the Golden Temple where the gods gathered.
