The sun shone warmly, and a gentle breeze brushed his face. Beside the lake in Central Park, a figure sat on a sofa, leisurely fishing with a rod made of blocks.
A ripple sped toward the float. The instant it reached it, the float plunged beneath the surface. Yang Bo quickly raised his rod, and an Enchanted Book glowing purple flew out of the water and into his hand.
"Finally, an Enchanted Book!"
Excited, Yang Bo opened his inventory and looked at the book with its enchanting glow. Without any lapis lazuli, his only hope was to fish up Enchanted Books with good enchantments.
"Flame I... not bad!"
He glanced at the sniper rifle beside him, polished to a gleaming shine, and a bold idea sprang to mind. He immediately took the Anvil he had crafted earlier out of his inventory and set it on the ground.
First, he put the gun into his inventory, opened the Anvil interface, and placed the sniper rifle and the Flame Enchanted Book inside. Seeing that it required seven levels of experience, Yang Bo felt his heart begin to pound.
"It actually fucking works!"
"No, I need to ask Coulson and Fury what the most powerful individual weapon they can get is. If I fish up an Infinity book, wouldn't that be sweet?"
Without hesitation, he spent seven levels of experience to enchant the sniper rifle with Flame. When he took it out of the Anvil, the once-black gun was enveloped in a purple glow, exactly like the glow the Enchanted Book had given off.
Yang Bo gently worked the bolt, a smile spreading across his face. But it lasted only two seconds before turning into a helpless, bitter grin.
