Yang Bo knocked the vampire to the ground with a blow from his axe. Since he had not fully activated data mode, however, the sharp stone axe lodged directly in the vampire's skull, like a Halloween decoration.

"Grrr..."

The vampire let out an unintelligible roar and braced his hands against the ground, struggling to get up. The moment he raised his head, he saw Yang Bo's icy eyes, utterly devoid of emotion.

Kick him while he's down!

Following the wisdom passed down by his ancestors, Yang Bo pulled out the stone axe and hacked viciously into the vampire's head again. With a thud, the vampire was knocked flat once more, and his remaining 15 HP dropped by another 9 points.

His HP also reflected his current physical condition. Even with a vampire's freakish constitution, two blows to the head were more than he could take.

Seeing that the vampire had only 6 HP left, Yang Bo switched out the stone axe in his hand for a stake designed specifically for hunting vampires. Without a shred of mercy, he raised the wooden stake high and drove it toward the vampire's heart from behind.

The heart's on the left, right...?

The sharp stake failed to penetrate the vampire's defenses. Glancing at the -1 that appeared above the vampire's head, Yang Bo felt a little helpless. Until the vampire's HP fell to the critical threshold of 15%, his stake was practically useless, only capable of inflicting 1 point of guaranteed damage.

Still, he did not stop. The stake's attack speed was much faster than the stone axe's.

When the vampire's HP dropped to 4, the stake slid in as easily as if it were piercing sand. With his HP depleted, the vampire let out a piercing scream. His body began burning from within until it finally collapsed into a pile of black ash.

Yang Bo looked at the loot that had dropped from the vampire with pleasant surprise. His cold expression thawed instantly, and he stepped forward to collect every drop into his inventory.

"They really do drop loot!"

Yang Bo glanced around and noticed that lights had come on in nearby windows, clearly drawn by the vampire's final scream. He scattered the vampire's ashes with his foot, only to find, to his surprise, that he had kicked a number of metal objects out of the pile.

"Holy shit... so some stuff survives, too."

It made sense when he thought about it. The heat generated when a vampire died was already impressive enough to burn clothes to ash. If it could vaporize every kind of metal like in the movies, they would not be vampires-they would be walking suicide bombs.

He picked up a gleaming yellow necklace from the ground, then turned and left. Before leaving, he could not resist spitting out a curse.

"Broke bastard!"

After winding through several turns and returning to a bustling street, Yang Bo breathed a sigh of relief. Although this was his first time killing a humanoid creature, he felt no physical discomfort at all. If anything, he felt even more exhilarated.

Both his hands trembled slightly with excitement, almost beyond his control.

He walked over to a bench by the roadside and settled into his seat, then opened his inventory to examine the drops he had obtained.

[Vampire Fangs] ×1 [vampire blood] ×1.

"Not bad. My very first vampire dropped vampire blood."

[Vampire blood] was an important ingredient for making Blood Potions, which gave players at least three different random status effects.

Although Blood Potions depended somewhat on luck, humans always had a strangely unshakable confidence in their own luck, and Yang Bo was no exception.

After sitting on the bench long enough to calm himself, he got up and began strolling along the street again. Now that he knew he could sense nearby vampires, and that they dropped materials, how could he possibly repay their kindness in treating him as food and draining him dry without seeking out a few lone vampires and showing them his enthusiasm?

Yang Bo was not particularly concerned about the vampires' headquarters. As he was now, he had no way to handle several vampires attacking him at once. Even if he knew where their base was, he lacked the strength to force his way inside. That was why he had not bothered asking the vampire what he knew.

After walking for a little over ten minutes, he caught that familiar scent again. Yang Bo looked over excitedly and saw a scantily clad Black woman sauntering along the street. Her tall, seductive figure constantly drew the eyes of the men around her. Unlike the white vampire from earlier, she showed no trace of pallor. Instead, her exposed skin looked as though it had been coated in lubricant, reflecting the surrounding lights. It made people want to reach out and discover whether that shapely, alluring body really felt as slick as it looked.

Without hesitation, Yang Bo began trailing her, but as he walked, something felt off. He realized he was not the only one following her. There were also several men dressed like street thugs.

Is the competition in Manhattan this fierce now...? You have to line up just to hunt vampires these days?

Watching the three thugs ahead of him stop and start, he deliberately moved closer and pricked up his ears to listen carefully to their conversation.

"Hey, let's follow this chick. Once she gets somewhere deserted, we'll have some real fun. That body's fucking incredible!"

"You're right, Garcia. Oh~ look at that big ass. I swear she'll suck you dry!"

Their lewd remarks left Yang Bo speechless. He gave the three thugs a pitying look and continued trailing the vampire alongside them.

At night, vampires emerged from their hiding places to search for suitable prey. Eva, the vampire walking a short distance ahead of Yang Bo, had come out for the same reason. She discreetly glanced at the four men behind her and smiled in satisfaction.

Hehe, food delivers itself to my door every day. This is wonderful!

She unconsciously stuck out her tongue and licked her lips. Now that the fish had taken the bait, Eva was ready to reel them in. Swaying her pert hips, she headed toward a secluded area.

Yang Bo could not help grumbling inwardly at the sight.

Did all these vampires graduate from the same school? Is this the only trick they know?

Grumbling aside, Yang Bo followed the would-be rapists without hesitation. The vampire kept glancing back at them, and once the three men noticed that pedestrians were growing scarce, they quickened their pace and surrounded her.

With a lewd smile on his face, the man in front said, "Hey, babe, wanna have some fun with us? Don't worry, we guarantee you'll enjoy it!"

The Black vampire smiled at the three men surrounding her, showing no sign of nervousness. Instead, she asked openly, "Oh? All three of you at once?"

Then the Black vampire glanced at Yang Bo, who stood a short distance away, and asked with a smile, "Want to join in?"

"Sure, sure!"

Yang Bo agreed without hesitation, grinning cheekily as he walked straight over to them.
