In the pitch-black void, an enormous island hung suspended, enduring through countless ages. Like an immortal's blessed sanctuary, it filled anyone who saw it with awe.
Mountain ranges rolled across the island beneath shady green trees. Birds sang and flowers bloomed, while lakes and rivers dotted the landscape, forming a little world of its own. The silver barrier enveloping the island was all the more wondrous.
Inside a hall on the island's northern side sat an old man dressed in white robes. He looked utterly ordinary, but anyone who knew him understood that he was a genuine Half-Saint expert.
