"Traveler, we're back."
Lin Ze could hear Tartaglia's booming voice from inside. He emerged from the inner room with three veins bulging on his forehead. "Oh, you're back. How did your shopping go today?"
"Great! We ate lots of delicious food, saw all sorts of fascinating things, and bought some pretty little trinkets."
Tartaglia spoke excitedly.
He stepped inside and saw the bags and gift boxes filling the main room.
"Oh! Have the shops already delivered everything? Traveler, take a look. We bought lots of presents for everyone, too."
Tartaglia searched through the pile for the gifts he had chosen for the Traveler and Paimon, but aside from a narrow passage, the entire room was so packed that there was nowhere to put his feet.
The packages and boxes were stacked layer upon layer, making them nearly impossible to tell apart at a glance.
"Ah, well, there's quite a bit here. Haha, I can't find them right now." Tartaglia scratched his head sheepishly. "Why don't you sort through it when you have time? You're bound to find them eventually."
"Quite a bit? You call this quite a bit?"
Lin Ze fought down the urge to draw his sword and pressed a hand to his forehead. "The most terrifying part is that this is only some of it!"
"They've already called me. Fine, you bought clothes and gems."
"But why do I suddenly have a house and four cars in my name?!"
"And that giant Iron Man model outside, the one taller than Wanmin Restaurant that won't even fit through the door-did you buy that, too?!"
Lin Ze roared it all out in one breath. Thank you both so much. I traveled to another world, and you still managed to saddle me with a mortgage and car loans.
