Lin Ze did not even have time to pick up his weapon. He rushed out to find his companions, but the surrounding space had returned to normal, and he could not find a single person.
Zhongli was nowhere to be seen, either.
What Lin Ze did not know was that Zhongli was only a few steps away from him, yet he sensed nothing.
"Traveler, look!"
Paimon pointed at the damaged door and called to Lin Ze, "Over there!"
Lin Ze looked up. The door representing the New York Sanctum had shattered. Although the Hong Kong Sanctum's door bore a few scars, it was still largely intact.
As he hesitated, someone pushed open the Hong Kong Sanctum's door. The Ancient One emerged with Wong and Mordo.
"Ancient One!"
Lin Ze went to meet her.
The Ancient One nodded at him. "I know what happened. Kaecilius chased Stephen into the New York Sanctum. He's in grave danger now."
She looked at Lin Ze gravely and handed him a Sling Ring. "If the New York Sanctum falls too, the Hong Kong Sanctum will be our last line of defense."
"We must not let Dormammu come here."
Lin Ze nodded solemnly and slipped the Sling Ring onto his fingers. "I'll go find Stephen!"
He was about to act when the Ancient One stopped him.
"I'll find him. First, bring Mr. Zhongli out of the Mirror Dimension. He's right here. Mordo, come with me. Wong will take you all to the Hong Kong Sanctum shortly."
After giving the young man her instructions, the Ancient One summoned a Portal and left with Mordo.
Lin Ze wanted to ask more, but missed his chance.
"Zhongli's in the Mirror Dimension?"
Paimon tilted her head curiously. "No wonder we couldn't find him. So he's been here the whole time."
