"Hey, something's wrong."
Hope frowned, suddenly interrupting Lin Ze and Dr. Pym's conversation.
They all turned their eyes to Hope.
"Someone's come in."
Hope turned to Dr. Pym. "It's Klaus."
"Ah! Oh no, Cowherd's still outside!"
Paimon cried in panic, "What if Cowherd gets spotted?"
Hope shook her head. "Cyno spotted Klaus in advance. He's already taken Itto into hiding, but the door wasn't locked. Klaus is already inside, in the living room."
Lin Ze recalled the movie's plot. In the original timeline, Klaus would invite Dr. Pym over for a tour the day before the Wasp Suit's official unveiling. It was both a chance to show off and a trap deliberately laid for Dr. Pym to eliminate him once and for all.
"I'll go take a look."
Dr. Pym patted Lin Ze on the shoulder, stood up, and headed outside.
Scott put his helmet back on, shrank down, and hid inside the collar of Dr. Pym's coat, accompanying the old man out.
To avoid exposing herself, Hope stayed in the room, waiting anxiously for Dr. Pym and Scott to return. Fortunately, they came back before too long.
Before Hope could question them, the phone in her pocket rang.
Shh, it's Klaus.
Hope silently alerted them to the caller's identity. Lin Ze and the others exchanged glances, while Paimon carefully covered her mouth, even quieting her breathing.
"Hello? Hope, where are you?"
"At home. What's wrong?"
Biting her lip lightly, Hope kept up appearances with Klaus over the phone. A short while later, she hung up with a grave expression.
"Klaus wants to tighten security. He's putting sensors at every entrance, along with micro-mesh filters and body scanners outside every vent. He's completely lost his mind."
In contrast to Hope's unease, everyone else seemed unusually calm, leaving her deeply puzzled.
