"Giving up already?"
Ceros smiled as he picked up the tablet from the bed. He swiped the screen, a flicker of surprise appearing in his eyes.
"Hey, looks like you haven't tapped through them all."
Lin Ze waved weakly. "There's no hope. Qiqi was my last stand. Just tap through the rest for me."
"I see."
Ceros studied the images on the tablet. He didn't know much about the characters in Genshin Impact; when he'd been assigned as Lin Ze's liaison, he'd only done a little superficial research into their appearances.
Two more weapon screens appeared.
Finally, a character popped up.
"You got a character. Aren't you going to look? He plays with water."
"Plays with water?"
Lin Ze immediately thought of the handy Hydro applicator from the early game. One gold and two purples-if he hadn't lost the fifty-fifty to Qiqi, that would have counted as a lucky pull.
"I know. Xingqiu, right?"
"No? His name's four characters long."
Ceros held back a laugh. "Think again?"
"Four characters? Which Hydro character has a four-character... Holy shit!"
Lin Ze sprang upright, almost smacking into Ceros's nose.
"Head of the House!" He took the tablet from Ceros and looked at the screen. "Aaaah!!!"
Watching Lin Ze bounce around on the bed in excitement, Ceros marveled at the appeal of game characters.
Head of the House? A character who looked so youthful, bold, sharp-edged, and determined to do things his own way was actually the head of a household?
"All right, if you keep licking it, I might have to throw my tablet away."
Ceros put a stop to Lin Ze's wild behavior.
"I have to go. You'd better figure out how you're going to deal with S.H.I.E.L.D. in a bit."
Lin Ze reluctantly let go of the tablet, then froze
