The meal had been full of twists and turns.
When lunch ended, the three of them left the cafeteria together, then parted ways at the corridor entrance.
"I checked your class schedules. Your last class this afternoon should be PE."
Tim patted Miaomiao's head and reminded her,
"You can bring your things with you beforehand, so you won't have to go back to pack up. Wait for me outside the gymnasium after school, and we'll go home together."
"Okay."
Miaomiao obediently agreed.
Tim smiled, then turned to Lia. "Then, Lia, I'm counting on you to look after Miaomiao."
As though she had been entrusted with an important mission, Lia nodded solemnly. "I will."
"Thank you, then."
Tim straightened Miaomiao's slightly crooked bow before heading toward his classroom.
Lia watched Tim walk away, then turned to Miaomiao beside her and remarked quietly, "I always heard people say that Tim Drake was arrogant and barely paid anyone any attention. After spending time with him today, I realized he's really gentle and patient with you, his little sister."
"Tim is arrogant?" Miaomiao asked, puzzled.
"Yes." Lia nodded. "Apparently, he often sleeps openly in class, ignoring the looks his teachers give him."
Miaomiao was speechless.
Could it be because Tim always stayed up late working and was so exhausted that he had to catch up on sleep in class?
Well, there was no arguing with that.
Still, she had to say something in Tim's defense.
"Tim isn't arrogant. He really is a very, very good person." After a moment's thought, Miaomiao added, "Everyone is a very, very good person. You are too, Lia."
Lia froze for a moment, her cheeks inexplicably growing warm.
"All right, let's go back to the classroom. Before class starts, I'll tell you some more about the courses here..."
