"Remember! You are already part of history..."
The instant Danyla awoke, a gentle voice left those words in her mind.
I am already part of history...
Danyla murmured the words over and over, lost in thought. It was still early, and only a few Unsullied stood guard around the weirwood.
Recalling the chorus of living creatures in her dragon dream, Danyla could not help softly chanting her domain's new spell-Nature Contract.
As Danyla chanted, the energy within her, the vigorous fire-aspected magical energy within Myracis, and the cool, soothing energy within the weirwood began to resonate, constantly intertwining and merging.
Myracis's scorching fire energy and the weirwood's cool, soothing energy flowed through Danyla like trickling streams, filling her with an indescribable sense of comfort.
Through that intertwined energy, Danyla's gaze seemed to pierce layer upon layer of history, and scene after scene flashed rapidly before her eyes.
She saw the decline of this continent's ancient native creatures; she also saw House Hightower migrate from the west and establish a kingdom of their own here; she saw the endless wars and political intrigue that had plagued this land for thousands of years.
But those images flashed by so quickly that Danyla had no chance to examine them closely. During this process, the crows in the weirwood also seemed affected by the surrounding energy, becoming unusually docile and quiet. Even their fear of Myracis faded somewhat.
"Creeeak~"
Only when Myracis's delighted cry roused Danyla from the dream once more did she discover that the sun had risen. Warm sunlight filtered through the lush weirwood, casting a colorful glow over Danyla and Myracis.
After receiving nourishment from the weirwood's energy, Myracis's pale pink scales had begun to take on a purplish-red tint.
"Hungry~"
Seeing that Danyla had awakened, Myracis eagerly conveyed her wish.
