Seeing that things had quieted down across the way, Mirai called out to her brother and ran over. "Big brother!"
Hearing her, Tsukasa turned and saw Mirai jogging toward him.
He quickly stood and gathered her into his arms. "What brings you here?"
"They don't really need me over there, and there isn't much I can help with, so I came to find you." Mirai hugged Tsukasa and smiled.
"I see. Are you settling in here?" Tsukasa asked.
"Mm-hmm! As long as you're here, I'm happy anywhere!" Mirai said.
Looking at Mirai, Tsukasa smiled happily too.
Then he said to Ryusui, "I'm heading back. They still need my help over there. Come along if you can."
Then he brushed off the sand and walked away with Mirai in his arms, without looking back.
Ryusui stared blankly at the beaming Tsukasa and Mirai. What was that all about?
