All the motorcycles had been tuned up, their engines roaring smoothly and cleanly.
Once everyone was ready, the group officially set off under Chelsea's guidance, heading deep into the Amazon.
The road ahead was far from smooth. Before long, a massive gorge stretching across their path blocked their way.
The cliffs on either side were steep and sheer, the bottom lay out of sight, and the gap between the two mountains was dauntingly wide.
Several people grimaced at the broad chasm before them.
"This gorge is way too wide. How are we supposed to get across that distance?"
It wasn't just the people-they also had to bring the heavy motorcycles across, making things twice as difficult. For a moment, everyone was stumped.
Kohaku's sharp eyes fixed on the gap as she swiftly estimated the distance. Then she broke into a powerful sprint, using the tires' strong rubber elasticity to launch herself into the air.
After tracing a clean arc through the air, she landed firmly atop the opposite cliff.
"Ha! This little gap is nothing. It can't stop me!" Kohaku declared.
Gen stared from the other side, dumbfounded. "Is that really something a human body can do?"
Seeing his shocked expression, Li Xiang walked over and gently patted his shoulder.
"Gen, the world is full of wonders. Only a useless nobody like me would-"
"Okay, you can shut up now."
Was she kidding?
Li Xiang, useless?
Ukyo took out his bow and arrow, tied a sturdy safety rope securely to the arrow's shaft, drew the bow to its full extent, and fired at an anchor point on the opposite cliff.
The arrow whistled through the air and lodged firmly in a crack in the rock.
Across the gorge, Kohaku reacted swiftly, catching the rope and securing it in no time.
