"Richie, about what happened today..." Henry trailed off. He felt he had let the boy down.
Thinking back to the words Richie had used to provoke him at the end, he regretted giving Richie three Tonitrus Bolts.
Richie had done it deliberately, forcing him to make the final decision. A child had swayed his emotions so easily.
With a sweet smile, Richie comforted Henry. "Sir, what happened just now really wasn't your fault. Richie walked into a trap the moment the Math Teacher started class."
Henry looked at Richie in surprise. "What trap?"
Richie shook his head helplessly. "After the entrance interview last time, Old Swan started getting suspicious about Mr. Swan's death.
"This time, Old Swan teamed up with the Math Teacher to set a trap for Richie, and Richie wasn't careful enough and fell for it!"
Henry's expression grew complicated, and he remained silent.
He was starting to find this boy hard to read. How could Richie's thinking be so meticulous?
Looking at the whole incident, Richie's words were not without reason. But letting such a young child see the darker side of society would only sully his innocent heart, so Henry flatly denied it.
"That's all just speculation. Don't overthink it, Richie. The Math Teacher is simply a little strict. Pay more attention in class from now on. As long as you behave properly, you won't have to worry about anyone finding fault with you!
"And Mr. Old Swan just happened to be passing by and stepped in to discipline a student. Children should focus on their studies, not let their imaginations run wild!"
Richie flashed a grin. Mr. Henry, like hell I believe you!
Richie heard everything you were saying in your head.
Still, he was lucky to have met such a good teacher!
