Ji Shuyue pleaded for Yun Huang to reclaim Great Zhou, thwarting the gathered factions’ hopes of dividing the dynasty’s holdings. Yun Huang ordered a purge of the Heavenly Demon’s surviving accomplices and left Ji Shuyue in charge of finding them.
Yun Huang secured control of Great Zhou, while Ji Shuyue passed Yun Lan a secret list of targets for a coming purge. Later, Yun Huang teased Yun Qing about his dangerous experience merging with the world and asked him to hand over the cat.
Yun Qing and Yun Huang playfully competed over their pets before Yun Qing asked whether Yun Huang truly intended to reestablish the Immortal Court. Yun Huang revealed that Yun Qing, not he, would run it.
Yun Huang told Yun Qing that he expected him to eventually oversee the world and take the seat of Immortal Emperor, while Yun Qing struggled to accept the prospect. After Yun Qing left the hall, Yun Huang examined Ji Shuyue’s Rescue Jade Slip, whose final lines had truly caught his attention.
Yun Huang read Ji Shuyue’s plea to protect Lingri and was stirred by memories of an old acquaintance. Meanwhile, Ji Shuyue and the Yun Clan carried out a sweeping purge of Heavenly Demon corruption across Great Zhou, leaving the clan elders’ dissatisfaction unresolved.
Ji Shuyue explained why he intended to dismantle Great Zhou’s imperial authority, while Yun Qing warned him about the dangers of concentrated power. As Yun Huang hunted Heavenly Demon-tainted elders across the Divine Capital, Yun Qing hurried back toward the Divine Palace, anticipating the emperor’s growing impatience.
Yun Qing soothed Yun Huang after the Immortal Emperor exterminated demonic corruption across the Divine Capital. Yun Huang revealed that he intended to restore the Thirty-Three Heavens, the former seat of the Immortal Court.
Yun Huang revealed that the shattered Thirty-Three Heavens had to be restored to repair Heavenly Origin's incomplete laws and protect the continent from the coming Heavenly Demon calamity. He hinted that Yun Qing could assume heaven's mandate to help, then continued purging demonic remnants in the Divine Capital while Little Radiant Chick returned to Yun Qing.
Yun Qing returned Yun Huang’s subsidiary radiant sun flame and told him that Ji Shuyue had heard Ji Clan elders complain about Yun Huang’s harsh treatment of their clan. Yun Huang dismissed their claims of kinship and explained why the Ji Clan had accepted his rule, leaving the pair to continue their teasing conversation.
After Yun Huang and Yun Qing finished discussing the Divine Capital’s purge, Yun Qing asked whether the detained ceremony guests could leave. While the guests waited under house arrest, Jiang Shouzhuo entertained several powerful cultivators with a tile game, which ended when True Person Xuanwei exposed Jiang’s cheating.
The Divine Capital’s blockade lifted after the Immortal Emperor declared the city purged and ordered the guests to leave. As cultivators rushed for the gates, people attempting to escape were suddenly blasted into blood mist, leaving everyone stranded inside once more.
After the outsiders fled the Divine Capital, Yun Huang uncovered and lifted an enormous jade fragment of the Immortal Court from beneath Great Zhou, revealing that it had sustained the dynasty for ten thousand years. The witnesses recognized it as part of the Thirty-Three Heavens, while Sword Venerable Azure Sky and Xia Zhan hurried home with thoughts of Immortal Court fragments hidden in their own domains.
Yun Qing and Yun Huang discovered the Immortal Court’s Ancestral Rite Celestial Court fragment and prepared to cleanse it of demonic corruption. As the Azure Jade resonated with the ancient heaven, Yun Qing joined Yun Huang in striking at the filth.
Yun Qing cleansed the Great Emperor Ancestral Rite Celestial Court, and Yun Huang sent it back to its place in the Thirty-Three Heavens, restoring stability to Heavenly Origin. Across the continent, powerful beings sensed the change, while Xia Wujie hurried to tell the Xia Emperor and Crown Prince Xia Wushang that something had changed in the southern skies.
After the Great Emperor Ancestral Rite Celestial Court returned to its place beyond the heavens, daylight and the Great Dao’s laws were restored across Heavenly Origin. Yun Qing returned to the Divine Palace and found Yun Yuan still searching for Ji Wen, whose whereabouts remained unknown.
The Yun Clan elders reported purging Heavenly Demon remnants in Great Zhou, but they could not find Ji Wen or trace his origins. Yun Huang searched the Heavenly Origin Continent and concluded Ji Wen had left this world, possibly with the Heavenly Demons, while hinting that the Heavenly Dao had also played a role in the Profound Ascension Ceremony’s upheaval.
Yun Huang ordered the elders to continue handling Great Zhou’s affairs and postponed pursuing Ji Wen, while Ji Wen appeared in the Land of No Light among the surviving Twelve Dutian Demons. Ji Wen explained why Heavenly Origin’s Heavenly Dao had turned against the demons and joined them in declaring their intent to bring the Kanming Heavenly Burial to Heavenly Origin.
Ji Wen and the Holy Lord plotted to disrupt Ji Huang’s efforts to reclaim the heavenly fragments and ordered Gu Princess to watch Yun Qing. In the Divine Palace, Yun Qing learned that Yun Huang had sent Qing Kitty to cultivate because it shed, then blamed the cat’s laziness on Yun Qing.
Yun Huang convinced Yun Qing that their spirit cat needed more rigorous cultivation, then described a rare opportunity in the Myriad Spirits Divine Realm. Yun Qing eagerly decided to send Little Radiant Chick there too, despite the chick's horrified protests.
Yun Huang sent Little Radiant Chick to the Myriad Spirits Divine Realm, and Yun Qing realized his brother had maneuvered him into sending away both pets for their cultivation. They discussed the scattered fragments of the Thirty-Three Heavens, leaving Yun Qing to discover that powerful clans—including the Yun Clan—had secretly kept fragments for themselves.
Yun Huang revealed that Great Xia would be his first stop, and Yun Lan reported that the dynasty had ordered all non-nationals to leave its territory. Yun Qing suspected the border clearance had been planned in advance, while Yun Huang remained silent about its deeper significance.
Yun Huang sent Yun Qing to Great Xia with the Immortal Court’s seal and Azure Jade to investigate its border closures and population registration. Yun Qing met Yun Tianluo and Yun Ruyi at the Yun Clan’s halted ceremonial procession before setting out for Great Xia.
Yun Qing met Yun Ruyi and her wolf cub, confirmed his suspicion that she had dealt with Yun Qingqu, and joined the Yun Clan’s procession bound for Great Xia. He and Yun Tianluo realized that the emperor had given neither of them an explanation for the journey.
Yun Qing led Yun Tianluo, Yun Ruyi, and the Cloud Valor Guards toward Great Xia as the dynasty expelled outsiders from Central Province. At Yu Pass, he was struck by the bustling mortal life and familiar warmth of the city, which recalled memories of his previous life.
Yun Qing traveled to Great Xia and reflected on how mortal life might help him break through to the Immortal Lord realm. At a banquet with Crown Prince Xia Wushang, he asked why Great Xia had cleared its borders, but Xia Wushang gave no answer.
