Without a word, the man glittering with jewels raised one hand, and the talismans in his grasp transformed into a barrage of spells-fireballs, Ice Spikes, Wind Blades, and more.
The man in tattered clothes merely formed a hand seal and began chanting. A thunderous rumble rose before him, and after yellow light flickered across the ground, a thick Earth Wall surged upward.
The spells struck the Earth Wall with multicolored explosions, blasting it to pieces in an instant. Yet when the dust cleared, the man in tattered clothes had vanished from his original spot.
Seeing this, the silver-robed man snorted and turned his hand over, revealing an Azure Talisman. He tossed it high into the air, where it burst into a cloud of azure light. A pulse of Dharma Power rippled outward, sweeping across the entire Martial Arts Arena.

A figure abruptly appeared several yards to one side of the jewel-bedecked man.
By then, however, the man in tattered clothes was gripping a Bronze Mirror with both hands, pouring Dharma Power into it frantically. Dazzling white light already shone across its surface.
"This is bad!"
The jewel-bedecked man was startled. He hurriedly swung the Silver Shield in front of him. Seven pale-gold spirit inscription symbols appeared on its surface, and a golden Light Screen unfurled to shield him.
Boom!
A white beam as thick as the mouth of a bowl shot from the Bronze Mirror opposite him, striking the golden Light Screen in a flash.
The golden Light Screen held for only a moment before shattering like glass. The white beam slammed straight into the silver Large Shield.
The jewel-bedecked man felt the Large Shield in his hands shudder, and a tremendous force crashed into him.
