Wang Yu examined the treasures taken from the Spirit Herb Garden and Dai Zong, narrowly survived the poison left on Dai Zong’s codex, and discovered that one of the yellow gourds contained a potent corrosive liquid. The chapter left him assessing the damage the liquid had caused inside the hollow tree.
Wang Yu examined the Mara Sect True Disciple’s belongings and discovered that a pair of Black Arm Rings increased his strength. When he opened a sealed Silver Box, a Black Orb inside unleashed lightning powerful enough to burn his palm, leaving him to treat the injury and the orb’s purpose unresolved.
Wang Yu examined the Thunder Pearl and the Black Soul Sect disciple’s possessions before cautiously continuing through the Mountain Range. He found two Demon Beasts fighting in a hollow over a fragrant, snow-leaved tree.
Wang Yu discovered a rare spirit tea tree while watching two nearly perfected Qi Refining demon beasts fight. He ambushed them and killed the python and boar, leaving the tea tree within reach.
Wang Yu defeated a giant python and a boar, harvesting valuable materials from their bodies. He discovered an unfamiliar Jade-Green Horn inside the python and then turned his attention to the white spirit tea tree and the strange stones scattered around it.
Wang Yu identified a white spirit tea tree, confirmed it was a First Tier Wood Attribute plant, and carefully transplanted it with silver obsidian fragments. Elsewhere, Senior Brother Zhu confronted the surviving cultivators, and a gray-robed couple offered to serve him.
Li Tianqi, Senior Brother Meng, and their companion fought the Yin-Yang Corpse Fiends after the indistinct figure on the rock promised to spare whichever side won. They defeated the couple, but the victory left one disciple dead and the survivors gravely wounded.
Senior Brother Meng and Li Tianqi fled after defeating the Yin-Yang Corpse Fiends, while Yuantong and Yuanming located High Person Jialan’s Brahma Body Dharma Form inside the mist. At the Ancient Temple Ruins, Senior Brother Huang was dragged back inside by a monster and killed.
An old monk awakened Kang Wuhen’s memories of his past life as High Person Jialan and offered him a chance to recover Jialan’s essence blood and treasures. Kang Wuhen remained wary and asked what had happened to the companions he had been exploring with, but the monk claimed he had seen no one else.
Kang Wuhen learned that the old monk was a divine-thought imprint of High Person Jialan and that the prayer bead could help him inherit Jialan’s memories and treasures. As Kang Wuhen began refining the golden blood, disciples in the Mountain Range spotted a huge force of Demonic Path Flying Boats approaching.
The Demonic Path army swept through the mountain range, hunting the other sects while its giant skeleton leader studied a map and redirected the fleet toward the center. There, Tianjunzi and a white-robed monk discovered another map at a hill where disciples had claimed three giant spirit peaches, while a Joyful Bliss Palace woman argued with her hidden junior brother over the spoils of a battle against a Vajra Temple monk.
Wang Yu rescued Chu Zhen'er from three demon snakes, only to discover that she had lured him into a trap. After breaking free and striking her down, he exposed her defenses and demanded to know which demonic sect she belonged to.
Wang Yu confronted Ye Zhen of the Mara Sect, who had tracked him using birds marked with his essence blood. Ye Zhen fled after he destroyed her summoned snakes and wounded her with his Flying Knives, leaving Wang Yu to consider how to make the weapons more powerful.
Ye Zhen escaped Wang Yu’s attack but discovered that his flying knife was a Second-Tier Sword Weapon. Wang Yu tested a poison coating and sealed it onto a knife with moon wax stone, preparing a new weapon.
Wang Yu searched the Mountain Range, discovered signs of deadly encounters, and encountered Ximen Mei fleeing from a formidable blood-colored foe. The foe attacked him, but Wang Yu struck it with a golden-mist-wrapped fist and sent it flying.
Wang Yu fought a blood-robed man whose body could deflect attacks and regenerate from severe wounds. After the two exchanged powerful strikes, the stranger introduced himself as Zhu Wuyan, the Mara Sect’s third True Disciple, and declared Wang Yu would die.
Wang Yu fought Zhu Wuyan’s Blood-Draining Art inside a blood-red hurricane, using his black tiger baleful body and martial techniques to break through the wind. The chapter ended with Wang Yu piercing Zhu Wuyan’s chest from behind, spilling a torrent of blood.
Wang Yu fought Zhu Wuyan’s Blood-Draining Art, tearing apart a blood-filled human-skin shadow before Zhu Wuyan summoned three more. Two women watched the battle through Mechanical Dragonflies, but when Ximen decided to help Wang Yu, the woman in pink moved to stop her.
Wang Yu and Zhu Wuyan prepared for a decisive clash, but an approaching fleet of Great Ming Four Sects Flying Boats forced Zhu Wuyan to flee. Wang Yu recovered his weapons and headed toward the newcomers to learn what had happened in the Mountain Range.
Wang Yu witnessed a Demonic Path assault rout the Four Sects fleet and fled after seeing a Foundation Establishment cultivator’s bone hands crush boats. The Black Soul Sect Patriarch then revealed that the attack was meant to clear the way for him to investigate High Person Jialan’s hidden treasure in the mountain range.
Wang Yu escaped a Demonic Path Foundation Establishment cultivator and met Ximen Mei again in the Jialan Secret Realm. Ximen revealed her true appearance and her connection to Heaven Toad Ancestor, while Wang Yu asked why she had entered the dangerous trial.
Wang Yu reunited with Ximen Mei, who explained her encounter with Zhu Wuyan and asked him to escort her to a place in the mountain range on Heaven Toad Ancestor’s orders. She promised him a True Disciple position and a request from her ancestor in return, and Wang Yu considered accepting despite his concerns about the danger.
Ximen Mei revealed that Heaven Toad Ancestor had inherited part of High Person Jialan’s legacy and sent her to retrieve an item hidden in the Jialan Secret Realm. Wang Yu examined the map and Jade Pendant, which pinpointed a location deep in the mountain range, and remained committed to accompanying her.
Wang Yu agreed to help Ximen Mei retrieve an important item from the Secret Realm after learning she had a Talisman Treasure that could conceal them. He negotiated for her to ask Heaven Toad Ancestor to make him a nominal disciple, and the chapter ended as Ximen Mei activated the banner and vanished with her Flying Boat.
Ximen Mei explained to Wang Yu the difference between Spirit Artifacts and Spirit Treasures while they traveled under the Little Mi-Cloud Banner’s protection. She then asked about his accomplishments in the Secret Realm, and Wang Yu said he had killed three Demonic Path True Disciples.
