Qiao Huizhu is direct about her affections. She confessed her feelings to He Pingsheng, proposed a marriage pact, and explained the danger posed by the Xiao Family before asking for his answer. When Daoist Wuqiong challenged their relationship, she publicly corrected him: He Pingsheng was already her husband, not merely her fiancé 110 111 281.

Her loyalty extends beyond declarations. She refused to abandon He Pingsheng during an ambush and later dispersed her cultivation to improve their chances of escaping together. She was equally determined not to leave Qiao Xiaoqiao behind, describing her cousin as her only remaining family 216 217 230.

History

Previous Incarnation: Empress of Creation

In her previous incarnation, Qiao Huizhu became the prized disciple of Immortal Maiden Fu Xue, a Dao Origin cultivator of the Nine Woods Immortal Domain. Known as the Empress of Creation, she ruled the Creation Star Cluster and eventually sought a Great Dao Order to advance beyond peak Great All-Encompassing Golden Immortal 1450 1469.

Fu Xue used a Great Dao Order of Creation as bait, accused her of stealing a supreme treasure, and killed her. Qiao Huizhu later recovered memories of this life while retaining her fortune and innate foundations. She suspected that a mission bestowed by heaven and earth explained her unusual rebirth, but acknowledged that this was conjecture 1469.

Heavenly Talisman Mountain and the Marriage Pact

Qiao Huizhu was Heavenly Talisman Mountain’s foremost Qi Refining disciple and had been betrothed to Xiao Bufan since childhood through their families’ longstanding friendship. Dissatisfied with the engagement, she intended to end it. Xiao Bufan instead drugged her and attempted to force himself on her during the Secret Realm expedition 94 110.

She fled and encountered He Pingsheng. Their intimate encounter in the Mountain Cave occurred while she was under the drug’s influence and he was unconscious from overusing his divine sense; he initially knew nothing about it. Before leaving the Secret Realm, she supplied him with resources and a robe, then helped conceal him among Heavenly Talisman Mountain’s disciples 98 111 216.

Three years later, her attachment to him had become an inner demon. She visited the Great Void Sect to seek either a marriage pact or an explicit rejection, hoping either outcome would resolve it. He accepted despite her warning that the Xiao Family wanted another marriage alliance through Xiao Xuan 111.

Flight, Recultivation, and a New Master

When He Pingsheng feared that an investigation would implicate her, he asked Qiao Huizhu to flee to Shangdang City and supplied her with spirit stones, pills, weapons, techniques, and Golden Bee Sacred Nectar. She insisted on taking Qiao Xiaoqiao and refused to leave him when enemies ambushed them 215 216 217.

During the Qi Kingdom Imperial Family’s encirclement, she dispersed her spiritual power to improve their chances of escape. He Pingsheng subsequently restored her cultivation foundations with pills and helped her cultivate anew 230 238 239 254.

After locating Qiao Xiaoqiao in the Free and Carefree Immortal Sect, Qiao Huizhu joined its Immortal Talisman Garden. The Azure Cloud Immortal Maiden, who shared her single ice spirit root, accepted her as a personal disciple and offered her full legacy 265 266 267 268.

Her eight-nine Golden Core tribulation drew several Nascent Soul cultivators who wanted to claim her as a disciple. Under pressure from City Lord Murong Tianyuan, she delayed by asking to farewell her husband and contacted her existing master for help 289 290 292.

Captivity and Resurrection

Qiao Huizhu disappeared while traveling to the Cultivation Alliance. He Pingsheng’s inquiries at Heavenly Talisman Mountain and the Ice Pole Sect initially failed to establish what had happened. He eventually found her at Sacred Mountain, absorbed in Dao comprehension and unable to recognize him 444 445 449 488.

After her soul awakened, she learned that He Asks had captured her 121 years earlier and that He Pingsheng had since ascended to the Spirit Realm. Her account later identified He Asks as the person who had tricked her into going to Sacred Mountain 541 594.

He Pingsheng restored her corpse’s bodily functions with the Treasure-Gathering Basin, then used a supreme-grade Tenfold Fusion Pill to reunite her soul and body. Her unexpected cultivation increase remained unexplained: he considered both the basin’s enhancement and rebuilding after destruction as possibilities 594.

Spirit Realm Transformation and Departure

After resurrection, Qiao Huizhu developed Boundless Creation and defeated Ao Ji, the Dragon Flood Dragon crown prince ranked eighth on the Sacred Fire Ranking. Later seclusion produced an extraordinary transformation: despite having entered it at only first-layer Void Refinement, she emerged with power that He Pingsheng could not measure. Her attacks knocked Demon Emperor White Cloud below the Mahayana Emperor Realm 599 604 731 954.

She intervened when Zhao Xiangdu threatened He Pingsheng, destroyed his avatar, and confronted the Phoenix Emperor. After he admitted that the Phoenix Race had ordered He Pingsheng’s death, she killed his main body and secured the other emperors’ agreement that He Pingsheng could continue competing 775 776.

Before departing for the Immortal Realm, she entrusted Inch of Blue to Su Zhenzhen, asked her to care for He Pingsheng, and invited him to find her and renew their marriage. She also stated that she had slain her avatar 776.

Immortal Realm Reunion and Azure Lotus’s Plot

Dao Lord Azure Lotus calculated the time and place of Qiao Huizhu’s ascension and met her there. She later sent people to find He Pingsheng, including her senior sister Yin Qing Yu, but repeatedly missed him. Their searches eventually led to a reunion 1466 1468 1471.

Qiao Huizhu initially believed Azure Lotus protected her because he placed feeling and reason above strength. His true objective was later exposed: he intended to merge her soul with Wen Buwan’s to resurrect his younger brother, Bodhisattva Futu. Wang Dun and Immortal Maiden Chonghua removed her from his domain and brought her to He Pingsheng, who supplied protective Golden Wheels of Merit 1471 1516 1517.

Profound Demon Heavenly Ruins and the He Family

While searching for He Pingsheng beyond the Immortal Domain Abyss, Qiao Huizhu survived Xue Jin’s attempt to poison her and seize her body. She killed one of Xue Jin’s Three Corpses and drove the others away. Patriarch Nine Flowers later reported killing Xue Jin; Qiao Huizhu refused compensation and accepted the grievance as settled 1582 1583 1590.

She spent nearly thirty years in the Profound Demon Heavenly Ruins without reaching He Pingsheng, who was comprehending the Dao in the inaccessible Second Heaven. Later, she joined him in extended cultivation and attained Dao Origin 1589 1700.

Within the He Family, she urged He Pingsheng to discipline He Tianzhi without worsening his relationship with He Tianya, and later pressed for meaningful punishment after He Tianzhi killed Ming Riyue.
