"Yao Lao?"
Hearing this name, which clearly seemed intended to conceal something, Xuan Kongzi and the other two grew suspicious. They could not say why, but they all felt that this person was probably connected to Yao Chen.
"Chen Cang, do you still remember what he looked like?" There was too little information for even Xuan Yi to be certain, so she immediately pressed for more details.
"When I met him, Yao Lao was in soul form. He looked very old, with shoulder-length white hair and gray robes, though he carried himself with distinction. According to him, he had been a high-tier Alchemist while alive. But we were both wary of each other, so I didn't learn much at the time."
Chen Cang carefully recalled their encounter. Leaving aside what he knew from other sources, that really was how his meeting with Yao Chen had gone. None of it was a lie.
Yet the more Xuan Kongzi and the other two listened, the more excited they became. Xuan Yi in particular turned her palm over, producing a set of brushes and ink on the table. She picked up a brush and drew with flowing strokes for several minutes, bringing a simple yet remarkably lifelike portrait to life on the paper.
There really was no burden in having more skills. Chen Cang had never expected her to know how to do this, too...
"Chen Cang, take a look. Was this him?"
"There are a few slight differences, but I can confirm it's the same person." Chen Cang nodded slightly.
He had already decided to reveal Yao Chen's whereabouts, so naturally, he would not deny it now.
If events followed the original plot, Xiao Yan would ascend to the Misty Cloud Sect in another year or so. As for when master and
