"Fellow Daoist Flower-Scatter!"
"Stop daydreaming!"
"Hurry up and get to work!"
"We can barely hold on!"
Mei Niang's sweet, coy voice startled Wang Quan out of his thoughts.
"What happened?" Wang Quan asked, bewildered.
Mei Niang pouted and pointed at the second and third floors. "Look, these cannons have come to life."

Wang Quan looked up, then fell silent.
He saw a Multi-Barreled Artillery piece seize the moment when a commandant chef was injured, soar into the air, and smash into his head.

Crack! Crack!
Bronze chains burrowed out of the commandant's belly. They turned into needles and thread, sewing shut the mouth on his belly.
The commandant struggled and whimpered, but it did no good.
Soon, the commandant chef stopped struggling.
He was still human below the neck, but above it, his head had been replaced by the Multi-Barreled Artillery.
Crack! Crack!
The cannon barrels rotated, and suddenly he let out a strange, cackling laugh. "It feels so good to be alive!"
