After his funeral work led him to a dangerous anomaly, he explored the Second-Layer World, found little profit in gloom sand, and chose to focus on refining magical power.

• Wang Quan joined the Drowning Dao Lower Court after an influential figure switched his sect token, then concealed how many scriptures he had mastered as he studied toward his First-Rank Dao Seal.
• After mastering ten thousand scriptures, Wang Quan chose the Purple Qi Reaches the Heavens Method and several moon and paper spells, then refined mana with paper moons and formed his Inner Landscape and Yin Spirit.
• Wang Quan sold a strand of exceptionally pure Bright Moon Mana, crafted paper effigies and death substitutes, and earned work as a Flower-Scatter Daoist while refusing Wu Yong’s offer to join Zhao Hongyi’s team.

The stretch left him studying steadily, with his Yin Spirit nearing the Yang Spirit realm and the Officiant Daoist Nun and Dream Nun asking him to settle their score with the Blissful Union House someday.

• Wang Quan tested the People-Crossing Scripture in the Great Tomb and discovered that permanently purging evil weakened the site and strengthened his Yin Spirit.
• Wang Quan helped Qian Xiuyue establish her manor on Seven Maidens Mountain, then fought off New Method attackers using Paper People and paper creatures.
• Wang Quan repeatedly recited the scripture in the Great Tomb, overcame the transformed General, and caused the tomb to disappear as the Lower Court Dormitory Complex took its place.
• Wang Quan received a thousand Yin Virtue and a wisp of favor from the Second-Layer World, then refined moonlight thunderfire and was asked to choose the next site to clear.
• Wang Quan chose the Cafeteria, subdued its ghost-faced gatekeeper, and began cleansing the building while its powerful evils resisted from within.
• Wang Quan practiced Yang Qi Furnace using rented kidneys, expanded the spell across his body, and ultimately returned ten thousand pairs of kidneys.
• Qian Xiuyue completed her manor and hosted a banquet, while Wang Quan continued clearing evil in the Second-Layer World and studying Daoist Scriptures.

Wang Quan advanced his Yin Spirit while fighting off a coordinated New-Method Alliance attack and collecting unpaid wages from the Blissful Union House. He eased his transformation urges by cultivating haze grass, completed ten thousand Dao characters, and ended the stretch considering Dream Nun’s proposal to help establish a new Drowning Dao Lower Court.

• Wang Quan traveled beyond the snow to gather sunlight, engraved thousands of Dao characters onto his Yin Spirit, and learned that special medicines and artifacts could speed its transformation.
• Wang Quan killed Qin Feng and later acquired Spirit Refinement +1, accelerating his cultivation as the New-Method Alliance began plotting retaliation.
• Wang Quan suppressed his urge to transform and sought advice from Ying Jiaren, who questioned whether she should keep studying the Ten Thousand Scrolls Dao Canon before practicing a Fundamental Method.
• The New-Method Alliance attacked Wang Quan through a Light-Fixing Mirror, but he broke their spatial seal and killed many of the cultivators before returning to the Lower Court.
• Wang Quan collected his enemies’ corpses and valuables, then forced the Blissful Union House and its allies to pay him two million Green Beetles in overdue wages and interest.
• Wang Quan discovered haze grass could ease his Yin Spirit’s urge to transform, paid cultivators to plant it, and had Spirit Monsters tend the hillside as he resumed engraving Dao characters.
• Wang Quan completed the ten-thousandth Dao character, then met Dream Nun after she reached Foundation Establishment and heard her offer to recruit cultivators to establish a new Drowning Dao Lower Court.

Wang Quan completed the [Yang Spirit Scripture], transformed into a Yang Spirit beyond the supreme grade, and began preparing for a powerful Foundation Establishment while clearing the Cafeteria’s evils. He gathered workers to refine baleful intent and sunlight, and continued clearing the Cafeteria as Wu Yong tried to reconnect with him.

• Wang Quan completed the ten thousand and one characters of the [Yang Spirit Scripture] and transformed his Yin Spirit into a Yang Spirit beyond the supreme grade.
• Wang Quan began practicing [Beautiful Lady Yu] with Ying Jiaren and arranged for hundreds of women to help strengthen the spell.
• Wang Quan entered the Second-Layer World as the Flower-Scatter Daoist, used the People-Crossing Scripture to clear the Cafeteria’s evils, and taught the scripture to Zhong.
• Zhong became fixated on redeeming Evil, while Wang Quan continued clearing the Cafeteria and warned him that the scripture was affecting his mental state.
• Wang Quan organized the refinement of seventy-two types of Killing Intent, then assigned Wu Yong and other laborers to work off their debts refining Baleful Intent.
