Background / History

Taishu Jing grew up as the younger son of Taishu Feng and Murong Jingyun, alongside his elder brother Taishu Yun. From childhood, he displayed extraordinary physical talent, recording 500 catties on the Strength Testing Stele during his first cultivation session. He sparred with Yun and learned the Ascending Dragon Fist and Reverse Dragon Palm under Taishu Yong’s instruction 2.

He initially learned through the System that Taishu Yun possessed a Divine Body, then awakened one himself after refining Treasure Blood. Jing’s Divine Body produced white-gold Blood Essence, broad white-gold Spirit Veins, and a personal inheritance containing 365 scripture characters and Great Attack Techniques 3 8 19.

Jing and Yun rapidly outgrew the Taishu Family’s expectations. They hunted in the Cloud Dream Mountain Range, forged Spirit Weapons from the family’s Star Iron, and repeatedly faced lightning tribulations as their cultivation advanced 11 12 54.

During his travels, Jing formed close ties with Little White and the Dragon Tiger Beast. He helped the beast begin its transformation into a True Dragon using Dragon Elephant bloodline essence and his Divine Blood, while Little White became his closest companion and eventual Dao companion 18 51 213.

After forging an Immortal Body, Jing deliberately abandoned the Divine Body path. He shattered his Divine Body Origin and forged divine bones from it, believing that power should be controlled by the person rather than allowing the Divine Body to define its bearer 286 287.

Appearance

Taishu Jing’s appearance becomes increasingly refined as his cultivation grows, to the point that others occasionally mistake him for a girl. He later cuts his long hair to avoid further confusion 50 264.

  • Possesses distinctive white-gold Blood Essence and spiritual power after awakening his Divine Body 8 18.
  • His Soul Palace is formed from white-gold glazed material and has ten layers 51.
  • After shattering his Divine Body Origin, his aura loses some divinity and becomes more human 286.
  • His Divine Body phenomenon, Heavenly God’s Descent, resembles him, with the sun, moon, and stars above its head and Chaos and Reincarnation behind it 147.

Personality

Jing is confident, theatrical, and fond of presenting himself as an unmatched master. As a child, he calls himself “Brother Jing,” intimidates bullies with swagger, and readily becomes smug when praised 4 117 119.

Behind this playful arrogance, he is highly protective of his family and companions. He shares cultivation resources with Taishu Yun, Zhong Yu, the Taishu Family, and strangers he meets on the road; he also teaches Yu’er to cultivate after seeing her desire to grow stronger 19 176 177.

He can be ruthless toward threats, killing guards and crushing stronger opponents when provoked, but he also shows restraint when he believes mercy is warranted, such as returning Thunder Roc’s drained life force and sparing Du Hai after defeating him 87 90 282.

As he matures, Jing becomes calm, self-controlled, and increasingly considerate. He regards all beings with respect despite his overwhelming cultivation, a quality Tao Baikong considers rare among powerful cultivators 120 382.
