Kunlun Mountain.
Three streaks of light arrived one after another.
Daoist Taiyi and Daoist Yu Ding supported the injured Daoist Cihang between them as they entered the Jade Void Palace.
The three had intended to sneak back, but who could have imagined they would be caught the instant they appeared?
Guangchengzi looked at their grievous injuries, puzzlement in his eyes.
The Chan Sect Disciples might not always have come out ahead when venturing outside, but none had ever ended up in such a state.
Why did these three junior disciples look so bedraggled?
Daoist Cihang and the others wore awkward expressions.
Under Guangchengzi's persistent questioning, however, they finally buckled under the pressure and recounted everything.
After hearing their account, almost everyone in the Chan Sect was stunned!
Guangchengzi himself wore an expression of utter disbelief.
"How is that possible?"
"You and I both know Qiongxiao's strength. She's merely a Daluo Golden Immortal. How could she possibly stand against all of you?"
"Besides, the three of you are among the finest in our Chan Sect. Forget outnumbering them-even one against one, you should never have lost."
In truth, Daoist Taiyi and the others were burning with shame.
Who lost a three-against-one fight, especially against a female cultivator?
The problem was, they really couldn't beat her!
Taiyi Zhenren truly felt wronged.
And it wasn't just Taiyi Zhenren. Daoist Cihang glanced at her empty sleeve, wanting to cry but finding no tears.
Her injuries were far more severe than those of Taiyi Zhenren and Yu Ding.
Without some miraculous elixir, she probably wouldn't even be able to regrow her hand.
"Senior brother, what happened this time was exactly as those two described."
"For some unknown reason, Qiongxiao's strength increased enormously, and she even comprehended a law."
Hearing Daoist Cihang's words, Guangchengzi frowned, then slowly exhaled a breath of stale air.
"She must have obtained some fortuitous opportunity. That would explain it."
"Qiongxiao certainly was lucky, stumbling across something just in time..."
Guangchengzi was only halfway through his sentence when a thought flashed through his mind.
In an instant, a chill shot straight to the crown of his head.
"Perhaps it wasn't luck at all. Perhaps they were plotting this all along!"
Everyone present froze at Guangchengzi's words.
Daoist Cihang was utterly lost in a fog.
"Senior brother, what do you mean? They were plotting this all along?"
"But the three of us came up with this plan on the spur of the moment. How could they have foreseen it?"
Guangchengzi sneered.
"They couldn't, of course, but that Vice Leader of the Interception Sect is another matter!"
"Back then, we all thought he'd lost his mind when he dissolved the Interception Sect. Now that I think about it carefully, he's shrewder than any of us realized!"
"Think about it. There are only so many fortuitous opportunities in the Primordial World, and the Interception Sect's disciples have now been disbanded and scattered throughout the land."
"With so many Jie Sect Disciples on the move, how could the Primordial World's opportunities not fall into their hands?"
After hearing Guangchengzi's explanation, everyone suddenly saw the light, but that realization brought intense anger with it.
"Those people from the Interception Sect are far too underhanded!"
"Every opportunity claimed in the Primordial World leaves one fewer for the rest. To think they'd go to such lengths for them!"
Randeng arrived just in time to hear that last remark.
"What lengths?"
"What has happened now that you can't handle, to make you all kick up such a fuss?"
At Randeng's question, Guangchengzi and the others immediately began talking over one another, explaining what had happened to Daoist Cihang's group along with Guangchengzi's suspicions.
After listening, Randeng's expression was no better than theirs. He was so furious that he couldn't help slapping the table!
"This Lu Feng really knows how to scheme!"
"He usually keeps his talents hidden, yet he has tricks like this up his sleeve!"
Guangchengzi hesitated before speaking.
"That's not all. Lu Feng is normally nowhere to be seen."
"And as far as I know, his current strength is still a mystery."
Randeng paused. Thinking it over carefully, that did indeed seem to be the case.
As a fellow Vice Leader, Randeng's strength was out in the open for everyone to see.
Yet Lu Feng had not only become Vice Leader out of nowhere, he normally had practically no reputation at all.
Had their disciples not run into the Interception Sect's people this time, they might never have discovered the wolfish ambitions lurking within that sect!
Randeng was no fool. How could he willingly suffer a loss?
"Since we've discovered the Interception Sect's true colors, we'll have to change our plans."
Guangchengzi and the others immediately composed themselves.
"We await your orders, Vice Leader!"
Seeing how obedient they were, Randeng felt somewhat reassured.
"Then send our Chan Sect's disciples out directly!"
"If the Interception Sect wants to seize those opportunities, they'll have to ask whether our Jie Sect Disciples agree!"
"Besides, the number of opportunities in the Primordial World is fixed. Every one the Interception Sect takes leaves one fewer. Our Chan Sect might as well join in now. Surely we can secure at least a few."
With those words from Randeng, everyone in the Chan Sect felt reassured.
Moreover, what Randeng had said was precisely what they had been thinking.
Quite a few had even begun making little calculations of their own.
Opportunities in the Primordial World were so hard to find. Rather than buzzing around aimlessly like headless flies, they might as well keep a close eye on the Interception Sect's people.
Once those people found an opportunity, they could step out and reap the fisherman's reward!
They all settled on their plans, yet outwardly, everything remained harmonious. None had any intention of showing their hand.
With Randeng's orders, the Chan Sect Disciples naturally poured out in full force.
They would certainly have objected to dissolving the Chan Sect.
But now they could still trail behind the Jie Sect Disciples and snatch some opportunities.
After all, the Primordial World's opportunities were right there for the taking. Whoever had the bigger fist would claim them!
Golden Ao Island.
Lu Feng still had no idea that a bunch of shameless people had set their sights on his little mythological stories.
In truth, even if he had known, he wouldn't have bothered dwelling on it.
For people he didn't want taking advantage of him, Lu Feng had ten thousand ways to put them in their place.
Meanwhile, Jinguang Xian had finally calmed down from his excitement.
Here on Golden Ao Island, in the presence of his eldest senior brother, Jinguang Xian had also managed to heal most of his injuries.
Now that he had an opportunity in hand as well, Jinguang Xian wished he could immediately tell every Jie Sect Disciple about it.
This was a wonderful thing that could only benefit their cultivation, with no drawbacks whatsoever.
Before notifying them, though, he had to show off properly.
After all, he rarely got to hold his head high and breathe freely like this.
Usually, his fellow disciples were always showing off this or that in front of him.
This time, he would bring out two Innate Spiritual Treasures at once. He would dazzle those fellow disciples until their eyes went blind!
At that thought, Jinguang Xian immediately sought out Lu Feng.
This time, however, he had come to bid farewell.
