"What Chan Sect Great Dao?"
"Is it stronger than the Great Dao I cultivate?!"
Xuanyuan spoke with an innocent, bewildered expression.
But at those words, Guangchengzi froze, rooted to the spot.
What the hell... had I heard that right?!
A mere human dared compare his cultivation to the Chan Sect Great Dao?!
After all, the Xuanyuan before him was no existence on the level of Ji Ren or the Three Ancestors of the Human Race. Presumably, he cultivated only the crudest of Dao arts.
What right did he have to compare them to the Chan Sect Great Dao?!
To Guangchengzi, those words were nothing short of a provocation against the Chan Sect.
His expression darkened, anger flickering in his eyes.
"Hmph, Xuanyuan, stop spouting wild nonsense when you know neither the height of heaven nor the depth of earth."
"You should know that our Chan Sect Dao is the Sage Dao. How could the Dao arts you humans cultivate possibly stand alongside it?!"
Guangchengzi rebuked him angrily.
Had he not been mindful of his master Yuanshi's instructions, he would probably have already struck out to teach Xuanyuan a lesson.
The scene had already drawn the attention of many humans, who watched with uncertain, suspicious gazes.
Yet upon hearing his words, Xuanyuan remained unhurried and unruffled, scratching his head as he asked:
"Then may I ask, honored immortal, what level of cultivation can the Chan Sect Dao allow us humans to reach?"
At that, pride immediately spread across Guangchengzi's face.
Sweeping his gaze over the humans, he declared with no small amount of satisfaction:
"Heh, although you humans have ordinary origins and mediocre talent."
"With the support of our Chan Sect Dao, reaching the true immortal realm, or even the golden immortal realm, should pose no problem in your future cultivation."
