Beside him, Xingxiu watched Hun Changqing stare blankly at the crystal in his hand, seemingly aware of its origins. Although she, too, could sense how extraordinary it was, she had no idea what it might be, so she asked with a hint of curiosity.
Her voice brought Hun Changqing back to his senses. He drew a deep breath, trying to calm the shock in his heart, a feeling utterly beyond words, yet he simply could not settle down. This crystal had shaken him far too deeply. Even now, he could scarcely believe that the thing every supreme expert on the Dou Qi Continent sought was lying so quietly in his hand.
Hun Changqing turned toward Xingxiu, a complicated look entering his eyes, then picked up the other crystal in the stone chest and tossed it to her.
Xingxiu caught the crystal flying toward her and immediately felt the same mysterious sensation Hun Changqing had experienced. When she probed it with her soul power, she also saw that vision of all things returning to life.
Yet the vision left Xingxiu bewildered. She had no idea what it signified. She looked at Hun Changqing questioningly, then heard his voice, seemingly calm yet laden with countless tangled emotions.
"If my guess is right, this might be the most important thing in this entire cave abode, perhaps even on the entire Dou Qi Continent. Everything else pales beside it, even the superior God-Grade Bloodline you attained through your transformation. If word of its existence got out, never mind the other clans-our clan chief, Hun Tiandi, and the Gu Clan's chief, Gu Yuan, would both go utterly mad over it. They would stop at nothing to obtain it."
Xingxiu froze at his words and looked down
