Chun Xiaobai ambushed and captured several Core Disciples, including Lu Yunfei, then brought them and their Storage Rings back to his cave. He learned that he could not open the rings without removing their divine sense imprints, leaving him frustrated over how to access the wealth inside.
Chun Xiaobai used the Heaven-Rending Hand to erase divine sense imprints from Storage Rings and shared several with Fang Yuan, Xiao Zhang, and Bai Jin'er. After they looted the hostages, Fang Yuan showed him valuable armor and robes taken from Lu Yunfei.
Chun Xiaobai claimed a valuable enchanted robe for himself and gave Bai Jin'er the Golden Cicada Armor before the group began recording ransom messages from their captives. When Lu Yunfei revealed that his father was the Divine Firmament Sect’s Sect Master, Chun Xiaobai and the others realized they had captured a far more valuable hostage than they expected.
Chun Xiaobai secured a ransom and blackmail recording from Lu Yunfei, then returned to the battlefield to hunt for valuable disciples. After finding mostly hidden or low-ranking targets, he decided to pursue the ten most influential names on his list.
Chun Xiaobai infiltrated the Primordial Forest, where the Core Disciples of the Righteous Alliance and Heavenly Baleful Valley were fighting, to capture high-value targets without revealing his identity. He seized Gu Shuangshuang and, after finding four more targets weakened by battle, sealed them as well.
Chun Xiaobai encountered Ye Liuli, captain of the Heavenly Baleful Valley alliance, and fought her after she mistook him for an enemy. He defeated her and left her unable to use spiritual power, with Ye Liuli vowing to die rather than submit.
Chun Xiaobai captured Ye Liuli and Qin Ruoxue, then brought them and his other hostages back to his hideout beneath the Cliff. His followers discovered the two famous women among the captives, while Bai Jin'er felt uneasy about their arrival.
Chun Xiaobai gathered more than a thousand hostages and planned to use their recordings to pressure the sects, while the Hundred Sects Alliance and Heavenly Baleful Valley elders reacted to humiliating battle reports. The chapter ended with a Righteous Alliance elder watching a new recording and spitting blood in outrage.
Chun Xiaobai’s ransom scheme failed when the Righteous Alliance refused to pay for Wang Sheng, so he sent new recordings threatening to expose sect secrets unless the factions paid. The Righteous Alliance chose to abandon its captured disciples, while the Heavenly Baleful Valley erupted in fury over similar threats against its own inner disciples.
Chun Xiaobai sent recordings of abducted Core Disciples demanding ransom, forcing the Righteous Alliance and Heavenly Baleful Valley to weigh enormous payments against losing their talented disciples. Both sides struggled to decide what to do as the one-day deadline loomed.
Chun Xiaobai negotiated ransoms for the captured Core Disciples by adding more free Inner Sect disciples to make the million-Spirit-Stone price feel like a bargain. The Righteous Alliance and Heavenly Baleful Valley remained reluctant to pay and kept haggling, leaving negotiations ongoing.
Chun Xiaobai negotiated the release of the kidnapped disciples for three million spirit stones, then shared a million with Fang Yuan, Xiao Zhang, and Bai Jin'er. The prisoners were to be left at a designated location for their sects to collect.
Chun Xiaobai's group delivered the kidnapped disciples to their sects, then held several wealthy heirs for ransom and forced them to submit. Chun Xiaobai entered a neighboring Cave Abode with Bai Jin'er and found Qin Ruoxue, Gu Shuangshuang, and Ye Liuli there.
Chun Xiaobai and Bai Jin'er stripped and intimidated the kidnapped Gu Shuangshuang, then forced her to record a plea-for-help video so they could extort her mother. After immobilizing Gu Shuangshuang again, Chun Xiaobai turned his attention to Qin Ruoxue and Ye Liuli.
Chun Xiaobai and Bai Jin'er forced Ye Liuli to record a ransom demand, then released Qin Ruoxue, whose divine soul attacks unexpectedly strengthened Chun Xiaobai's divine sense. The chapter left Qin Ruoxue facing Chun Xiaobai as he mistook her attack for a fortuitous opportunity.
Chun Xiaobai discovered that Qin Ruoxue’s divine soul attack strengthened his divine sense, while Qin mistook his resistance for proof that he came from the Sacred Land. After he seized her and threatened to use an Image Recording Stone of their encounter, Qin panicked, leaving Chun Xiaobai with leverage over her.
Chun Xiaobai forced Qin Ruoxue to read out a ransom demand, freed Bai Jin'er from a seal, and sent Fang Yuan and Xiao Zhang to carry out a plan to secure payment. Outside the Mountain of Ten Thousand Spirits, the sect leaders realized their missing heirs and invited reinforcements might have fallen into the Heavenly Baleful Valley's hands.
Envoy Zhang and the Heavenly Baleful Valley elders feared that missing disciples had been abducted during the trial, risking a conflict with powerful sects. The elders received recordings proving Ye Liuli and two others had been captured alive, but the culprit remained unknown.
The Hundred Sects Alliance and Heavenly Baleful Valley panicked over kidnapped heirs, including Qin Ruoxue, but the kidnappers made no demands. Chun Xiaobai chose to keep both groups waiting so he could pressure them into paying more.
Chun Xiaobai sent edited Image Recording Stones to the elders outside the Mountain of Ten Thousand Spirits, using the hostages’ apparent mistreatment to confuse and intimidate them. The Heavenly Baleful Valley and the Hundred Sects Alliance both mistook the recordings for threats meant to silence them, leaving their elders furious and confused.
Envoy Zhang ordered the Alliance to investigate the messengers, while Chun Xiaobai used the elders’ suspicions to advance his larger scheme. He sent new demands for the kidnapped disciples, leaving both sides furious at the staggering ransom.
After an enormous ransom demand left both factions guessing about the kidnappers’ identities, Chun Xiaobai learned that the elders were holding their positions and ordered his group to prepare to collect the money.
Chun Xiaobai’s gang prepared to collect ransom by exploiting the Heavenly Baleful Valley and Hundred Sects Alliance’s mutual suspicions. After Bai Jin'er interpreted his scheme as deliberate misdirection, Chun Xiaobai sent the rival groups a brutal ransom demand and dispatched Fang Yuan and Xiao Zhang with the recordings.
Chun Xiaobai’s staged ransom recording convinced both factions that the other had arranged the kidnapping, and they each sent back a counteroffer. Fang Yuan and Xiao Zhang returned to the abyss cavern with the replies for Chun Xiaobai.
Chun Xiaobai grew furious when the two factions offered too little ransom, so he staged a convincing hostage mutilation to force them to pay more. The image of severed thighs sent both sides into panic and anger, and Envoy Zhang suspected the Heavenly Baleful Valley was provoking a war.
