Du Yu repaired the Hou Yi legend, returned to the underworld, and met Zhongli Chun, who had waited millennia to see him. He entered her legend and helped her escape her abusive home and become Guiguzi’s disciple.

• Du Yu entered the Hou Yi legend as Pang Meng, helped Da Yi defeat Nine-Infant, and discovered that the Queen Mother of the West had caused the nine suns.
• Du Yu helped Da Yi use the Plantain Fan to extinguish the suns, then convinced Heng'e to swallow the Elixir of Immortality so the legend could continue, leaving Da Yi to join her as a white rabbit.
• Zhan Qisheng confronted Du Yu after Heng'e ascended, but Du Yu returned to the underworld when the legend reached completion.
• After recovering, Du Yu received the Eight Directions Ghost Record and went with Dong Qianqiu to a café, where Zhongli Chun attacked them before obeying Du Yu’s order to stop.
• Du Yu and Xie Bi'an intervened when underworld officers abused Zhongli Chun, and Du Yu brought her to the Bureau, where He Suoyi assigned him her legend.
• Du Yu entered Zhongli Chun’s Warring States-era legend as A-Wu, found her starving in a pigpen, and helped her bathe, eat, and escape her household.
• Du Yu urged Hua to take Zhongli Chun to Guiguzi, where Zhongli Chun spent six months reflecting before declaring that she wanted to see Du Yu.
• Sun Bin tricked Guiguzi into naming Zhongli Chun his junior sister, and Zhongli Chun bowed to Guiguzi as his disciple.

Du Yu kept his promise to Zhongli Chun through her final battle and reunion, then entered Cui Jue’s legend and helped him deliver justice for Sihuang and the old woman. The arc ended with Lady Houtu offering Cui Jue the Civil Judge post, which he declined.

• Du Yu descended to Ghost Valley Mountain and reunited with Zhongli Chun, who had waited twenty years and confessed her feelings, before he told her she would eventually need to marry King Xuan of Qi.
• Zhongli Chun left the mountain with Du Yu, returned to Wuyan City, protected Xia Yingchun, and later married King Xuan to pursue reforms in Qi.
• When Zhongli Chun led Qi troops against Zhao and Qin, Du Yu descended as a soldier and fought beside her, but she shielded him from arrows and was gravely wounded.
• Du Yu helped turn the battle against the enemy, then left Zhongli Chun after asking her to live well, and more than two thousand years later, he found her again and embraced her in his inner realm.
• Chi Ghost and Mei Ghost took Dong Qianqiu away on Lady Houtu’s orders, leaving Du Yu with the Eight Directions Ghost Record and a new legend to prepare.
• Du Yu entered Cui Jue’s legend and investigated the old woman’s missing son, discovering that Sihuang the Fierce Tiger had killed Mengshan while protecting her.
• The old woman revealed how Mengshan had abused her and how Sihuang had saved her, and Du Yu confronted Cui Jue for failing to investigate her injuries.
• Cui Jue reopened the case, ruled that Sihuang had acted to protect the old woman, and accepted Du Yu’s suggestion that the tiger become her adopted son.
• Lady Houtu named Cui Jue leader of the Underworld Enforcers and offered him the Civil Judge post, but Cui Jue declined.

Du Yu helped uncover a plot against the Eastern Peak Great Emperor, then pursued a Bureau insider while a legend went off course. Inside the mist-shrouded legend, he entered Zhang Jian’s stronghold and faced a sudden attack that exposed a deadly conspiracy.

• Du Yu discovered that Lady Houtu’s plan to test the Eastern Peak Great Emperor had escalated into a battle, then helped reveal the conflict was driven by deception and arranged attacks.
• Du Yu convinced the Eastern Peak Great Emperor and the Yamas to stop fighting and investigate, then led the Underworld Enforcers in searching the Legend Management Bureau for a mole.
• Du Yu and the others failed to identify the culprit among the Bureau’s employees, while Dong Qianqiu’s past emerged and Truth-Hearing helped track He Suoyi.
• When a Grade A legend went off course, Du Yu entered it as Zhang Zhen and learned that Zhang Youren had become the Jade Emperor after Zhang Jian’s identity was stolen.
• Du Yu stopped Zhang San from harming two women and warned Zhang Jian that joining the army would endanger the stronghold’s bandits, then told him the tragic tale of the 108 heroes.
• Zhang Jian asked Du Yu to become the next Stronghold Chief and revealed he had five days to exchange places with Zhang Youren, while Du Yu considered the offer.
• After Zhang San was killed and the stronghold came under attack, Zhan Qisheng appeared, and Zhang Qian admitted he had invited him to seize control before Zhan Qisheng disclosed that another person had hired him to kill Zhang Jian.

Du Yu helped Zhan Qisheng reform the Mountain Stronghold into five cultivation sects while He Suoyi attacked the Legend Management Bureau and the Underworld. After learning that Zhongli Chun was corrupted and the Bureau was in ruins, Du Yu set out for the Heavenly Court.

• Zhan Qisheng helped Du Yu stop the Mountain Stronghold rebellion, and Du Yu persuaded Zhang Jian to split the bandits into five sects rather than let them remain outlaws.
• Du Yu and Zhan Qisheng arranged the sects’ formation and a future division of power between Zhang Jian and Zhang Youren, while Xiao Qi warned Du Yu that He Suoyi had seized the Bureau.
• Du Yu stalled He Suoyi, who revealed his plan to eliminate the Immortal Realm’s rulers, as Houtu, Yang Jian, and Nezha confronted him at the Bureau.
• He Suoyi summoned a black Tathagata manifestation and disappeared after Houtu and the others attacked, while Du Yu learned that the Bureau’s staff had been killed and the Underworld Enforcers were badly injured.
• Du Yu helped Zhang Jian and Zhang Youren survive an ambush at the Investiture Altar and complete their identity exchange, then returned to find Dong Qianqiu gravely wounded and Zhongli Chun still unconscious.
