Du Yu followed You Si through the past as she searched for someone to replace Time, witnessing her violence, her attempts to understand humanity, and her connection to Great Dark Heaven. The journey ended when You Si stopped time to confront Zhan Qisheng as villagers burned him at the stake.

• Time showed Du Yu a fabricated scene from his childhood, and Du Yu escaped into the ruined future, where he joined the survivors’ plan to use a Descent Device.
• Du Yu watched Sage plan to erase himself by killing his past self, then followed You Si through the Time Gate as she searched for a replacement for Time.
• You Si killed villagers and warriors who resisted her, but she spared the infants A Can and A Kui and gradually learned to care for them.
• You Si found Great Dark Heaven as a boy, raised and trained him, and later saw him build an Extreme Darkness World where he crushed followers to give them power.
• Great Dark Heaven tried to reshape You Si through repeated deaths, but she escaped and traveled through many dynasties before returning to the Elder Era.

Du Yu learned how Time’s long cycle began and endured ages in the Time Cave while uncovering A-Xiang’s role in it. He traveled back to Xu Fu’s era, preserved the course of Xu Fu’s life, and ensured the formula passed into the Shiranui lineage.

• You Si freed Zhan Qisheng, taught him spells, and learned that A Can and A Kui willingly gave their souls to help her.
• Time revealed to Du Yu that he had manipulated generations of Du Yus and needed Du Yu to take his place, but Du Yu vowed to end Time across every cycle.
• Bound to the stone stool, Du Yu spent ages repairing timelines and endured You Si’s attempts to free him before discovering Shiranui Asuka’s recordings and the chair’s inscription.
• Du Yu explained to a later Terminator how A-Xiang’s sacrifice had begun the cycle, then persuaded him to become Time while Du Yu stayed behind to save him.
• Du Yu traveled across timelines to carry out killings, then went to 219 BC to find the Cause-and-Effect Reversal Formula before Xu Fu.

Du Yu destroyed the Time Caves and returned to his friends, while the story shifted to Jin Jianglang’s encounter with Yanyanluo, a blind smoke monster raised by humans. Jin Jianglang protected her from the Tsuchimikado Household and learned that she had secretly killed 1,923 monsters to keep Hiezu Village safe.

• Du Yu revealed his plan to become Time, killed Great Dark Heaven and He Suoyi, shattered the Time Caves, and returned to live with his friends as the last Supreme Pivot.
• Jin Jianglang met the blind girl Yanyanluo in the forest, helped her through illness, and learned from the villagers that Gutai’s tobacco smoke had brought her into being and that they had raised her as their own.
• Jin Jianglang agreed to protect Yanyanluo, and Shiranui Asuka and Shuten Doji welcomed her into a pretend Shiranui Household to shield her from the Tsuchimikado Household.
• After the Tsuchimikado Household massacred Hiezu Village, Jin Jianglang hid the deaths from Yanyanluo and arranged for monsters to impersonate the villagers when she returned.
• Jin Jianglang rushed back to the Maple Forest and found Yanyanluo gravely wounded after she and Shiranui Asuka were attacked by Tsuchimikado members.
• Jin Jianglang declared Yanyanluo would become his shikigami and fought alongside Shuten, Great Tengu, and Yukigyo against the Tsuchimikado attackers.
• Great Tengu removed the needles sealing Yanyanluo’s power, and she admitted that she had hidden her identity to protect the humans who raised her and had killed 1,923 monsters over twenty years.
