He tied the Sword Tassel to the Heaven-Measuring Ruler and turned to glance at the Azure Bird nestled on his shoulder. A trace of profound, complex divinity now filled the bird's eyes.

The Azure Bird tilted its head at Bai Feiyu. The instant its beak opened, Bai Feiyu pinched it shut.
