A few minutes later, when Lin En led Mirror out of the council hall, her eyes still rimmed with red, Lilith was still fuming. She stared at Mirror beside Lin En, her cheeks puffing in and out, her jealousy practically spilling off the screen.
Mirror merely met her gaze and glanced at her. Although she did not know what had happened, fragments of [jealousy] and [anger] kept dropping from above Lilith's head with little plopping sounds, never once stopping.
What was she jealous of?
She instinctively looked up at Lin En's profile beside her.
It was as though something had subtly changed. Her hand unconsciously tightened around his arm. Perhaps she had originally chosen to become his servant only to gamble on a change in her fate, but after this moment, everything might have changed fundamentally.
Because now, in her heart, she had a goal and a conviction that could give her a reason to live again.
"What about Tyrael? How is he doing?"
Lin En asked.
"Don't worry, Master. I've already locked him up, and I've used a special method to suppress the power of the Origin Substance inside him. I'll have my people watch him around the clock! Until he tells us everything he knows, he certainly won't get to die so easily."
Lilith knelt on one knee, a sweet smile appearing on her face.
Lin En nodded.
Although he had already decided not to make further use of that fellow, the things in his head were still extremely valuable.
He glanced sideways at the girl beside him and said:
"Then I'll leave the rest to you. Copy his memories as soon as possible. You'll be in charge of this, Mirror. Whether we can obtain the knowledge he possesses depends on you."
"Yes, Master!"
Mirror bowed her head
