Lin En and Ophiel tried to flee the Gobi after learning Hana Ye might become a vessel for the King of the Red Moon, but the Lord of Crimson attacked and claimed Hana Ye. Lin En summoned Ophiel’s divine projection to save them, while keeping numerous restrictions ready in case the goddess turned against him.
Lin En rushed to Clockwork City with Hana Ye, whose body and soul were showing signs of a dangerous transformation. He used runes and severed his projection link to take her soul to his own world, leaving her fate uncertain.
Lin En failed to bring Hana Ye’s soul back to his true body and realized her divine status made it impossible. As the enormous Red Moon descended over Clockwork City, the city descended into chaos, and Hana Ye approached Lin En with a power that severed everything around her.
Lin En tried to stop Hana Ye from becoming the King of the Red Moon, but he could not reach her through the Red Moon’s protection. He advanced into the Eighth Layer of the Spirit Realm, where Hana Ye walked toward him and the Red Moon without recognizing him.
Lin En shielded Hana Ye from the Red Moon and tried to remind her that she was herself, not the King of the Red Moon. The moonlight restored her memories, and she stabbed Lin En through the heart.
Lin En's projection failed to save Hana Ye from the Red Moon's influence, though he left her a plea and some of his power before his vessel was destroyed. Back in the Warp, he told Shinsen Saya that the King of the Red Moon might soon reappear in her world.
Lin En admitted he could no longer descend to the Lower Realm and refused to free Shinsen Saya, planning to grow stronger using her and the Lord of Crimson’s fragments. As he wondered whether he could still save Hana Ye, a third vessel became available beneath the rift.
Lin En discovered a newly created Backup Vessel and enlisted Shinsen Saya to help him resist the King of the Red Moon. The chapter revealed that Mirror had arranged for a woman to give birth to the Vessel, and she had agreed to help for the chance to avenge herself on the Lord of Crimson.
Mirror completed a third Vessel using a woman’s body and carefully refined it for Lin En, despite fearing that her master would disapprove. Lin En descended into the new Vessel beneath Mesijie Street and recognized Mirror’s work, while Mirror slept from exhaustion.
Lin En learned that Mirror had created a Vessel to make up for the one he gave up, and he decided to speak with her after she recovered. He promised to help his biological mother find and protect her daughter, but learned that the Life Lineage had been nearly destroyed and its descendants were preyed upon by other divine clans.
Lin En returned to Clockwork City and found Jiu and Ophiel trapped in a Red Moon illusion that made them fight ancient monsters and suffer real wounds. As Lin En entered Ophiel’s mind to witness the illusion, Jiu concluded that they had encountered a true god and challenged Yan about what he knew.
Lin En revealed that the true threat was the King of the Red Moon and helped summon the Valkyrie’s power to confront it. The Great Sun returned to the sky at midnight, while the Valkyrie took control of Ophiel and cut through the illusion surrounding Jiu.
Shinsen Saya returned through Ophiel and reunited with Jiu, while Lin En revealed that the Red Moon’s power threatened to bring one of the Seven Outer Gods into the mortal world. They prepared to suppress the Red Moon and stop the impending resurrection, leaving Lin En kneeling as Shinsen Saya asserted her authority.
Lin En forced his way into the Red Moon’s realm to reach Hana Ye while Shinsen Saya and Jiu suppressed the Red Moon with the Great Sun. He finally embraced Hana Ye, but the Red Moon’s power continued attacking them.
Lin En fought the Red Moon’s pull to bring Hana Ye back from the ancient dream consuming her. Hana Ye broke through when she begged him not to abandon her, and Lin En reassured her as she noticed his bloodied body.
Hana Ye resisted the Red Moon’s attempt to overwrite her with its ancient memories, insisting she was not its master. After seeing how generations of her family, including her mother, had carried fragments of the Red Moon’s soul, she learned that she had never been a vessel but was the King of the Red Moon.
Hana Ye rejected the Red Moon’s attempt to awaken its memories, but the authority took control of the twisted corpse and attacked Lin En. Hana Ye stopped the strike and turned the scarlet spike toward herself, confronting the Red Moon.
Hana Ye revealed the Red Moon's Authority to save Lin En, forcing them to flee as ancient gods and demons converged on the Spirit Realm breach. After the battle, Jiu and Ophiel returned to Clockwork City alive, while the awakening of ancient gods threatened to reshape the world.
After Red Moon Night, the Firstborn crushed the rebellion in the Imperial City, while Clockwork City counted its dead and rumors spread that the former King of the Red Moon had returned. In the ruins of the Youzhi Family estate, a grieving girl discovered a damaged box whose contents were not revealed.
Hana Ye and Lin En separated from her sister to keep her safe, and Lin En explained the Red Moon Authority and its danger. Afraid that Lin En might lose himself to another identity, Hana Ye made him promise to remember her before declaring her love for him.
