Call Me Big Brother a Few Times

Then she saw her younger brother behind her looking as though he was about to say something.

Her beautiful eyes immediately widened in a glare. She released one of the arms she had wrapped around Estelle and made a threatening gesture behind her back.

The message was clear: if you dare tell her, you're dead.

Eros curled his lip in disdain, then opened his mouth again, signaling that he was about to speak.

Wendy looked anxious and waved her hand frantically. Then she turned her head and mouthed:

"Don't tell her. As long as you don't, I'll do anything."

Eros raised an eyebrow, then gave her a wicked grin and mouthed back:

"Then call me big brother a few times, and I won't tell."

Wendy was furious, but in the end, she gritted her teeth and gave in.

Noticing their little antics behind her, Estelle turned her head suspiciously. "Do you know where my necklace is?"

Eros put on a suitably puzzled expression and shook his head. "I haven't seen it."

Estelle turned to her daughter, and Wendy gave a couple of awkward laughs. "Neither have I."

Although her daughter's expression was a little odd, she thought nothing more of it. "Then I'd better go pack a few personal belongings too."

And so, only the siblings remained in the hall. Wendy immediately put Eros in a chokehold, and he coughed. "I didn't tell her, you know."

Wendy huffed and glanced around. Seeing that no one was there, she kept her face stiff and murmured in a voice as faint as a mosquito's buzz, "Big brother!"

"I've done what I promised."

Eros, however, looked disappointed. "That's it? That's all? I couldn't even hear you!"

Wendy flushed with embarrassment and anger and moved to put him in another chokehold. Eros hurriedly backed away. "Fine, fine, fine. I'll count it."

Once he had retreated to a safe distance, though, Eros changed tack.

"But the elders never said you could come along too. That means you still have to stay home."

Wendy was dumbstruck. She stood rooted to the spot, the light gradually fading from her beautiful eyes until they became vacant.

Seeing her like that, Eros gave a dry cough. "Still, if I were willing to put in a word for you..."

He paused there, raising his eyebrows at Wendy suggestively.

The light gradually returned to Wendy's vacant eyes. She immediately rushed over, clutched Eros's arm tightly against her chest, and shook it again and again, pleading all the while:

"My dear little brother, please help me. I want to go out and have fun too."

Eros gave another loud cough, and Wendy understood at once. A blush spread across her pretty face. She lightly bit her red lip, her beautiful eyes filled with embarrassment, and said softly:

"All right, I promise. But you'll have to wait until tonight."

That night, a thoroughly reluctant Wendy nevertheless called out loudly in a completely emotionless voice:

"Thank you, big brother!"

After saying that, Wendy gave a cold huff, her face flushed bright red.

"Tsk! No feeling, no sincerity!" Eros clicked his tongue.

Wendy was furious, but Eros paid her no attention at all. He turned away and entered the soul space to study with Barbara.

Mmm! Barbara really is adorable.

A few days passed. Once everything was ready, a servant came to inform them that they could depart.

Eros was rather excited. At last, he could see the vast continent of this world for himself. He wondered how different it would be from Earth in the eighteenth century.

Beside him, Wendy's face was also full of excitement. The two followed the servant all the way to a huge open space in the backyard of the Duke's Mansion, where they stopped.
